BISSELL TurboClean Pet XL Carpet Cleaner - 3738

The shampooer base was cracked. The cleaning solution was spilt everywhere. I need to return this item but not the box is so damaged I can’t sent it back in the original box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a Bissell Pro Heat Premier carpet cleaner for well over a decade, and I absolutely loved that machine. Unfortunately, the water tank has developed a crack, so I can no longer use it. I had to replace it, so I stayed loyal to Bissell and bought the TurboClean Pet XL. What a mistake! Everything works fine on this machine, except for one major flaw. The dirty water collection tank does NOT hold one gallon of water. Yeah, the container is technically one gallon, but it only holds about 1/4 gallon before it seals off and stops sucking up water. I get maybe three minutes of actual carpet cleaning done before I have to stop and empty the dirty water. At first I thought it was getting clogged, but by the 3rd attempt to dump and clean the tank, I realized that there's a 'MAX FILL' line marked at a ridiculously low level on the tank. *Insert Shocked Pikachu Face* Not only that, but the clean water tank seems to empty ridiculously fast as well. I spent more time dumping the dirty tank and refilling the clean water and solution than I spent actually using the machine for its intended purpose. It took me over two hours to clean a 20 x 12 room, and I finally got frustrated and gave up. Didn't even bother to move furniture and finish the job. The only thing this machine is good for is spot cleaning, and if I wanted just that, I would have bought a Little Green Machine, or something like it. I have lots of pets, including a huge elderly dog who hates baths and likes to roll around in the dirt, so my light grey carpet gets ugly and needs cleaned regularly. This machine ain't it. I might try Flex-Seal or something to fix the tank on my trusty old ProHeat machine, but regardless...I'm out the 159.00 I paid for the TurboClean XL.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore my Hoover carpet cleaner out and decided to try the Bissell. I absolutely hate it. I am used to having a solution side and a clean water side for rinsing which this does not have. It puts way too much solution on the carpet and leaves way too much on the carpet. I go over it repeatedly to try and dry the carpet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 6/1/24. The bottom of the clean water tank broke 8/13/24. There is no replacement tank available for purchase. So basically I can throw this 2 1/2 month old 169.00 purchase in the garbage because it is useless without the clean water tank.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleaner is amazing. After cleaning the rug in my daughter's room you would have thought we bought a brand new rug. It cleans but does not soak your rug like the other machines I've tried.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought and paid for this on July 16 and it arrived as promised on July 18. I love this machine, that is if one can love and inanimate object, I like the idea of a one-gallon clean water tank however, I found that I had to stop to empty the dirty water tank before the clean water tank was empty. What's the point for the 1-gallon tank? I have an area rug that hasn't been cleaned since I bought it 6 years ago. It didn't look dirty. I made my first pass straight up the middle. Yep, it was dirty, filthy dirty. Same with the carpet in my bedroom. I cleaned the rug and carpet with the solution and water and then rinsed it with straight water and still picked up more dirt and the rug and carpet looked even cleaner, I have yet to use the attachments to clean the interior of my auto, I hope to get the same results. You won't regret buying this machine,

It seemed to clean well enough but the dirty water started leaking out when I stopped moving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received this product and the clean water tank has a leak right by the electric cord. In addition when you push the vacuum it automatically releases water without pulling the trigger. Ended up releasing the entire clean water tank onto my rug which I then had to take out of my house because it was wet all the way through the pad. The only way I was able to suck any water up was to operate it without the clean water tank. Called spoke to someone and had me check to small things and said oh well I we can do is send you a label for you to send it back. We will look at it and fix it or send you a new one. Keep In mind that may take a few weeks.

I give this a 5 star. It lifted dirt from my carpet that has been in there for years. It lightweight. Works great. The only thing is the dirty water tank needs to be emptied too often. Other than that, it's a great product

I bought this to replace my Bissell revolution shampooer and I can already see the exact problems with this unit. First off, the water tanks are completely cheaply made and flimsy. Kind of like a gallon milk container. I am sure it's only a matter of time before they break and crack.. just like my other cleaner. I shouldn't have purchased but now to much trouble to return. You'd think better quality for the price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this 4 times in small areas. 4th time it made a screeching noise and the belt broke. Got a new belt from Bissell, but my husband looked at it closer and the motor is shot!!

I bought this, as I was looking for a reasonably priced cleaner with the attachments that this came with. While I have only used it once, so far, it does a good job, is easy to use as well as to clean after use. The true test was when I went over areas that I had recently cleaned with our 20 year old Hoover cleaner. You can see exactly where this new Bissell cleaned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Turboclean PetXL Upright Carpet Cleaner is absolutely amazing! It was very easy to use and the results envy those of professional cleaning. I have two small dogs (both under 15 pounds) and do "Doggie Daycare" for my daughter's two medium dogs (right at 30 pounds each). They all track in mud and when it is raining, her boy will have accidents. Not only are the physical stains gone, the odors are gone as well!
