So far, so good
I bought this carpet cleaner today because I’d noticed a dark path forming in a high traffic area in my home. THIS is what the dirty water from my first run looked like! And we’d even had our carpet professionally cleaned a few years ago! I wasn’t expecting it to look THAT bad, so I feel like this machine is doing a pretty good job of cleaning out the yuck. I’m looking forward to doing the rest of my house.

So good for the price!
Was able to clean my rug with just one pass through! Easy to assemble and straight forward to use. I could see how if you had a large carpeted area it could be frustrating because the tanks are a little small.

So glad I bought this!
Bought this as a replacement for a much older and larger Bissell model and I'm so glad I did. It's so easy to use. Lightweight, simple to put together, fill, and empty. Very happy with the job it did cleaning high traffic areas in a house with kids and pets. Easy enough to get it out for cleaning up a quick spill, but big enough to clean a whole room. You do have to refill the tank more frequently than with my old one, but that's a minor issue overall. Maybe best of all, it doesn't have a lot of parts and I feel like you can rinse it out and keep it clean after use.

Decent carpet cleaner and good price. It does pick up dirt deep in the carpet, but it doesn't do great with older stains. Maybe if I used it as soon as the carpet became stained.

Great Purchase
Anybody that is giving this carpet cleaner a poor review hasn’t followed the instructions for use or maintenance. It’s a vacuum that utilizes two chambers to clean your carpet. There is a common sense tediousness to after-use cleaning to maintain your investment. Your carpet will be damp regardless of the suction for several hours. I have a cat with GI vomiting issues despite prescription diet and care. I was on the fence deciding to purchase, but grew tired of spot cleaning by hand with Resolve, and Resolve just wasn’t getting up the stains. I was able to clean 7 separate spots in a normal size bedroom on one ‘clean’ tank. Once the carpet dried (about 3 hours later except for the larger spots) the carpet looked brand new.

Wish I had bought this a long time ago
But no, I went with a competitor, thinking I was doing the smart thing. Now, the rugs get cleaner, faster, and easier, thanks to the smaller size and lower weight. There's no container of dirty water you have to clean out after, either, and that was a huge issue with the other brand. This one, you simply dump the dirty water into your toilet bowl and flush. Even the detergent smells better! I really like that the entire front suction area is utilized. You can also easily see that the bristles are a lot larger and do a much better job of removing dirt from even a shag rug!

Performance less than expected
Brush is weak against the carpet. Water recovery is poor. Carpet stays damp for hours. Machine cleaning is tedious and requires some component removal. I should have gone with a better model maybe from a different manufacturer.

Light and Easy cleaner
I wanted a lightweight carpet cleaner that I could lift with one hand and the Bissell TURBOCLEAN does this well. I also did not want all the extra hose and attachments. I am also happy with the tank sizes. It cleans well. I don't have huge messes on a daily basis, but I am sure this could handle it. Good suction and brush action.

I am VERY happy with the new purchase. It is not heavy, not too big. You do have to dump and refill it quite a lot, but that is the price you pay for a more compact and portable device. Fair trade. I will be honest in admitting that yesterday was the first time I have shampooed my carpet in the 5 years I have been in my apartment. The entry way had many stairs. From shoes coming in and out. Attached is a photo of Galway through the shampooing. I think this speaks for itself.
