A: It does not heat water. We recommend filling the CarpetXpert tank with hot water, but do not use water above 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

A: It comes with both of the cleaning solutions you need out of the box: a 12 oz bottle of Shark StainStriker OXY Multiplier and a 6 oz bottle of Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula. Dear Stainstriker....how do I love thee, let me count the ways. Affordable, lots of easy to use features. good performance. Used it on our truck and SUV appolstry...with about 8 years of normal wear & tear and dirt. Looking great!!!!! Will report back after more uses in the home....but for now, happy customer.

Great for pet messes
The machine is very light and easy to get around the house with. The attachments are perfect for a pet mess, but there's no where to put them all, especially the tiny brush attachment. The formula did get the poo stains out that my new puppy left me in my bedroom, but the smell of poo still lingered. The self cleaning option is such a great idea and so easy to use, love it!!

the work is almost perfect
The work is almost perfect, it helped me clean my living room without any problems, except that the base where the vacuum cleaner handle is placed is very fragile and broke, and I have only used it 3 times. I consider it to be of poor quality or it is too heavy for the base.

Not worth it, and honestly disappointed
Honestly, this is not worth the money if you’re trying to help clean (even just slightly) pet hair. I can’t speak for people with long hair pets, but I have a lab mix with very thick coarse fur and using this tool required at the very least 7 passes in a very small area to pick up any fur. For stains, it’s decent. Nothing groundbreaking but again, requires MULTIPLE passes to be effective. The physical labor you have to put into using this product for it to work just isn’t worth the money.

Different cleaning heads - wrong.
I received the Shark in one day but I received different cleaning heads than listed on Target’s App and shown on the Shark StainStriker box. I wanted and paid for the gold rubber/silicone cleaning heads and received black hard bristle brushes. There is a price difference based on the cleaning heads as well. I was not able to get a replacement via Target App unless I returned the item first to store, infuriating and wasting my time & money. My review is based on not receiving what I paid for so do not recommend buying without seeing in person because you won’t get help unless you pack it up and drive it back to store.

Perfect Size
I bought this to clean my stairs. It worked really well. The unit is easy to clean, and is perfect size and weight even with water in it to carry up and down the stairs. I love how my stairs look now that they are clean. Kept me from replacing my carpet.

Bad service
I ordered this item not realizing I had to wait 2 hours to grab it . Since I live a hour away I came into the store hoping to walk away with the item. Upon speaking to a manager they said they would not be able to give me the item due to the person doing pick up orders has 5 more on her list and would need 40 minutes to close out. I expressed I did not live in the area and if I could cancel the item and purchase it in store. They told me I still would not be able to purchase it. Worst customer service I ever had and literally did nothing to help me at all. Second I don’t even get my refund of $135 until 24 hours later. Never coming to this target again. They need better managemnt skills

Well designed
There’s a lot to like about this cleaner. Very neat and compact, yet spray and suction are powerful. There’s a brush head designed to collect pet hair, but there’s a screen in the dirt water tank that does a good job of that. Easy to fill and clean. This is a well designed product.

I love it!
I really like this machine! I have an elderly, large dog. She sheds like crazy and is having a lot of indoor accidents due to her age. I cannot believe how much this little thing has helped me manage. I use it to clean the carpet and the dogs’ large beds. It really does a great job cleaning. The extraction of all of the hair is an added bonus. Thank you Shark for helping me find a very affordable option for cleaning up. Both of my dogs thank you too!

Powerful Stain Buster!
Really light weight and nicely designed. I wasn't sure about the small water compartments, but I found a little goes a long way. This broke up a really bad area from my sick puppy who recently passed. 😪 I was afraid I would not be able to get the stain out. This powerful little machine knocked it out easily. I did go ahead and used my large shampooer to give it a good final rinse. Love Shark products. Thank you!
