You have to constantly clean it or it will leave your floors black. I have also learned that steaming your LVP floors is terrible for them. Would not recommend.

Dirty water is not sucked up
I got similar problems as one user posted. The dirty water suction worked when I used it for the first time. But since the second use, the dirty water tank was always empty and the mop head would be very dirty after use and the steam smelled just like dirt. So, the head was not self clean not all and left the floor not clean either and even make the room smell bad after dirty steam evaporated.

Not worth the price

I expected more
This is good for steam sanatizing hard floors and it's easy to use. However, I'm not sure how truly clean it gets the floors as the roller just runs with the steam and there is very little water sucked up into the machine. It is also supposed to vaccuum the floor as well. It doesn't vaccuum very well, just some crumbs. I really expected more for the price.

total disappointment
this product barely cleaned the tile in our bathrooms and kitchen, did nothing for the grout in between the tiles, and left scratches over our manufactured hardwood floors. feel this device was not worth the money we paid for it

Wanted to love, but didnt
I really wanted to like this since it steams and also vacuums up little bits of grime, but after two trial runs I knew it was going back. It leaves streaks and haziness all over the floor, so I wound up having to pull out my other steamer regardless. Great idea but relatively poor execution unfortunately.

Cleans great
I've owned this device for awhile and love it. I do sweep first if im doing all the rooms so I don't create muddy floors. For spills, one stop cleanup. I have learned to pull out the brush and wet it first. This allows the dirty water to pass back to the collection wells rather than make dirty water on the brush to then be spread all over. If used right, it's a great addition to your cleaning arsenal!

The size of machine makes moving around easy. 3 heat setting is ok. The roller ball just wipes the floor with hot steam blowing around it. I did not feel that floor got clean. There were numerous time using it that I had to stop and scrub out a spot, that I feel machine should have take care of. Not sure how sanitary it is to use same roller ball. You can hand wash only.

Do not buy!
Leave puddles of water, bad smell, and if using on tile, the grout lines that go across will end up dirty. I’ve called shark and they blame me for cleaning the purple roll brush.

Poor performance
It does pick up debris and wets my floor. HOWEVER, it does not clean my floor. After going over it with the Shark machine, I wiped the floor, and the rag was DIRTY.

Tiny but MIGHTY
I did my research in regards to what is a good steam mop. I previously had a bissell steam mop that required to change out the pads after every use… which I can tell you was quite annoying. The bissell ended up giving up on life after around 2 years of inconsistent use. So, here I am with the Shark 3-1 steam mop. Unboxing I was quite skeptical since the first thing I noticed was the size of the machine. It was just a lot smaller than what I expected, but let me tell you. The moment I started using it, my mind was blown. I didn’t presweep the floor the first time I used it, and I can immediately tell the difference once I was done. The floor definitely felt cleaner and I didn’t feel the itsy bitsy materials that can’t be caught by the naked eye. I’m a bare foot walker inside the home, so I can feel the difference from the first time I used this mop and the bissell. The suction of the vacuum is great. The steam that comes out is even better ! It comes with 3 different intensities which also comes handy. One of the other cons of the system is the water tank size. I probably filled up twice with an intensity of steam set to “2” with a household size of around 1500-1700 sq ft. Maybe I am also just mopping slow and making sure I get all debris and steam the floor nicely and to my liking. Another con I must also mention is cleaning the system after, I definitely rinse off all the debris caught in the catcher and also the brush after every use. I mentioned earlier that I had a bissell where I just had to change out the pads, which got annoying because I just kept buying new pads instead of reusing the ones I had. With this machine, I rinse the whole catcher system out and the brush roll.. that might be disgusting to some but I don’t really mind it at all if it will help keep the system running as smooth as possible and effective. Nonetheless, I have no regrets not going back to bissell because this machine most definitely exceeded all expectations and takes the ugh out of mopping! Having this in your household arsenal will only make you want to steam your floors atleast 3-4x / wk, which is what I am doing now! worth every investment!
