Battery died after 3 months of use…

At first the vacuum worked pretty well, it had good suction and I like the light because it lets you see every little crumb. However, after rinsing the filter for the 1st time, the suction noticeably decreased, but the vacuum was still usable. Finally, after the 2nd filter rinse, the vacuum virtually picks up nothing. I don't know if anyone at black and decker will see this but please provide me some sort of solution. I would not recommend buying this vacuum, even though it has a decent price, it just wont last.

Great product works really well and has good power and suction.

Power head broke. No longer spins. Tried to get service... no service near me. Opened it myself. The pinion gear with the spine to drive the head snapped in half and is cheap plastic. This part isn't available. I basically have a vacuum that doesn't spin now. I could easily replace the gear if it was available. But I recommend that you avoid this model. I didn't have this vacuum for 2 years - and now I need to buy something different.

This is the second vacuum that has broke in 1.5 years. Really disappointed.

I saw that this was a new item in store at Target and the price was not displayed initially. Extremely happy with the discount offered online for a new product. Was in dire need of a new vaccum and was very glad for this to be so affordable at this time.

Was great at first. For a large 1 bedroom apartment and a dog this seemed ideal and was working great on both hardwood floors and carpet for a few months. Then the battery life fell off significantly to where it could barely be used on the high powered setting and the suction completely stopped being useful it would just push things around of roll right over it. Ended up being a complete waste of money after a promising start.

This vacuum was perfect when first bought it. I have had it for about 2 years now. It picks up ok but when I lift up the vacuum to put it back away, everything I swept up falls out of the bottom of the sweeper into a pile. i’m not sure why it’s not sucking it all the way up. There is no clog in it either. I started using an older vacuum after I use the black and decker, I noticed it picks up so much more dust and hair than the black and decker. I don’t think the black and decker is worth the money for the quality after 2 years.

I absolutely love how versatile it's designed making it easy to use! I don't feel the strain on my lower back when maneuvering it around and the lights are conveniently bright!

Purchased in March 2023 and the brush head quit spinning. There’s no hair on the brush head (I make sure that it’s cleaned regularly), I clean the filter monthly, and it quit working. Very disappointing.

Like many other reviews, mine worked great for about 6 months then it just quit in the middle of vacuuming. The brush won't spin and the motor sounds like it's struggling. The battery is fully charged and I have kept the filter and brush roll clean since it got it. I loved this vacuum when it worked but you would expect a product from Black & Decker to last longer than a few months! Very disappointed!

Seems rollers on the bottom of the head have stopped turning and worn down flat so that head drags on the floor now and leaves scratches. Suction is very good though. Would like to see about replacing head.

I bought this product and absolutely loved it. Great value for the price! The only problem is that I cannot find a replacement for the pre-filter (NOT the filter, which you can find on Amazon). My husband used it and, when cleaning the container, he accidentally removed the the small rubber stopper attached to the pre-filter. The rest is perfectly working, but I cannot use it now because I could not find a compatible pre-filter. Can anyone help, please?

This vacuum worked great for about 5 months and now the brush no longer spins and the light does not come on.

Started off great but like the rest of the buyers here, the machine broke down in 3 months time, I bough it March 2023. It is now the end of June 2023. Our usage is normal, no pets, and nothing extreme. Now it wont even suck anything. the bristles are rotating but the vacuum is done for. Sighh... now have to drive out to see if i can get it repair.

This vacuum worked well for the first year I had it (purchased in Feb 2022), but then I started noticing issues that other reviewers have mentioned. I noticed that once I turned off the power, the dirt would just fall back out; this has been happening for months. Then, about a week ago, I plugged the battery back in after charging it and the vacuum ran for about 2 seconds and then would stop spinning, stop sucking, and the motor sounded like it was a plane ready to take off. I have cleaned this thing top to bottom, checked the inside to make sure there were no clogs, cleaned the bristles, cleaned the filter, nothing. I have made sure to clean this after every 1-2 uses to ensure it got a full life of use, but that didn't seem to help my case.

This stick vacuum is the next best thing since sliced bread. I had no idea what stick vacuum to get, there's so many, too many, on the market right now. Voltage, run time, attachments, weight, etc., all of those made it hard to decide at first. Black & Decker has always been a trusted brand by my dad, and myself, so when I came across this particular model amidst my vacuum-deciding crises, I did some thorough video review watching. Black & Decker had the best runtime, and although this one is pricier than the others I was looking at, I'm quite happy with the performance. There's 3 vacuum modes, and a battery indicator on the front of the machine while running and charging. I have a 2 story house and a toddler who wants to dismantle the establishment, paired with 2 messy birds, and I have a cocktail of disaster on my carpet. I ran this B&D stick vacuum on low mode in the entire bedroom with sufficient cleanup of bird pellets, followed through in the living room, and even vacuumed off my couches. It's a great vacuum to keep up on small messes before they become HUGE messes and honestly saves me so much time. It's not heavy at all. I carried it upstairs with ease and vacuumed all the stairs without a sweat. It picks up surprisingly large material (zupreem parrot pellets and gerber stars for reference). Leaves beautiful vacuum marks, just as you would get with a standard vac. Easy to remove filter, simple instructions, and the 3 charging methods were just as easy. I opted for wall installation and she's sitting pretty! Love this thing.

Works well and can run all day with the batteries from my tool set.

I baught this based on reviews and name. Worked great 1st few months. Then it started clogging all the time, and just stopped sucking. There were no clogs - yet when it was turned off everything i vacummed fell out. It would just go over things and not suck up. It would spit it all out the second i lifted it off ground to make a mess. I got a new one to replace it. Same thing happened. I see it pushing a cloud of dust in front when doing my carpet. I dont even wana think gow dirty it is now bc it wint even suck up a crum a pine needle or dust! And there no clogs. It leaves a mess behind it. Horrible vaccum.
