Neither alkaline nor rechargeable batteries should be used. The camera has a USB-C port which allows it to be hardwired directly to power, and it can function this way. If you choose to hardwire the device, you should not place rechargeable batteries inside as rechargeable batteries should not be used with our devices. The button will turn blue. A small animation appears above the button indicating that your mobile device microphone is active and that your audio will be played through your camera speaker. A: Hi TJ! Technically the Blink Outdoor 4 system doesn't require WiFi, because the cameras connect via the Sync Module 2 which you'll plug directly into your home's router via ethernet. So you'll still need an internet connection, but you don't need to connect these cameras to WiFi directly.
