Scent is strong and does not smell good.

As someone who pays a lot of attention to ingredients and tries to keep a lower-tox home, finding a laundry detergent that is both “crunchy” and actually smells good can be surprisingly difficult. Most cleaner detergents I’ve tried either don’t clean very well or have no scent at all. Blueland Fresh Dew is one of the few products that gets both right. I love that the tablets are plastic-free, easy to store, and don’t come with all the unnecessary packaging of traditional detergents. The ingredient list is much simpler than many mainstream brands, which was one of the main reasons I decided to try it.

I love these tablets! They work well and less toxic than other ones in the market. Will be buying these regularly as well as their other stuff

I prefer small ingredient lists with easy to research ingredients. I ran out of the laundry detergent I usually use, did a quick search for natural laundry detergents I could get locally in a pinch. This one showed up favorably in a few Reddit discussions, so I thought is give it a try, despite the higher price point. There is such a ridiculously heavy perfume fragrance in these tablets that not k Ly can I not even tell of things are clean or just perfumed (to the point of gagging), but I find I’m now putting off doing laundry just to not have to open the bag. It’s THAT bad. Cloying, heavy, obtrusive, and ultimately nauseating. I grant that I am somewhat sensitive to certain scents, but natural products, even when scented, usually don’t bother me. In fact the laundry soap I’ve used for years has a light fragrance that I really enjoy. Thankfully my regular laundry soap arrived today, so the rest of this bag is now going straight into the trash.

I am not sensitive to smells, but these are WAY too strongly scented. They also do not dissolve well (warm water), even placing them in the bottom of the washer per the instructions.

I really like using these laundry pods. But some previous reviewers said that some didn’t dissolve so I just break them up a bit when I throw into the washer. They wash well and laundry smells fresh. Will definitely buy again!! Love using natural no chemical cleaning products that actually work!

Incredibly impressed with these detergent tablets! Before hand I was using seventh generation pods and noticed they were not completely dissolving. Leaving annoying residue on my clothes. However have not had this problem since making the switch! The scent is the perfect amount for me personally. It’s there but not over powering. I love that this plastic free and non toxic! Can’t wait to try out the other scents.

Company doesn’t care about sustainability at all

I unfortunately have sensitive skin and it seemed like I was itching more with my usual detergent. Then I played the not so fun game of detergent testing to stop the itch. 6 detergents later I was just about out of choices when I saw Blueland at Target. I like scented detergent but some for sensitive skin either doesn’t have a smell or smells awful. The fresh dew smell is perfect! It’s what clean clothes should smell like! The tablets themselves have a strong scent but when clothes are washed and dried you don’t smell much fragrance. I’d like a stronger smell that lingers on fabrics but that’s my only downside to the product. It cleans just as well as liquid detergent and is nowhere near as heavy or bulky and doesn’t take up lots of space in the laundry room.

Love the scent! Love that it doesn’t have plastic. Best for medium loads. For larger loads, I’ll break one and use 1 an 1/2 or 2 tablets.

Multiple purchases of this new product for its fantastic cleaning of heavy duty odors (seafood) & dirt (gardening). Love that it’s good for the people & planet!

Terrible and nauseous scent permeated entire house. Washing hands multiple times after just touching the bag did not remove the scent. Had to store product outside in ziplock bag until I can return them.

Used one pond and all of our dishes smelled so strongly like the scent we hand washed our coffee cups and they STILL smell like the scent of the pods. I don’t want to smell flowers in my coffee. Throwing them out.

VERY scented. Made me itch and want to sneeze just by having them in the laundry room. Also, when I washed a load of whites, the whites yellowed. So I didn't bothter trying the unscented version. I'm moving on to another product.

the smell is far too overpowering! I’m shocked bc I thought this was a better for you brand so I thought it would be minimal fragrance. We will not be using this we all feel sick

I use this all the time and I love it. Blueland products are phenomenal.

I tried this brand's toilet cleaner, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and dish soap. My absolute favorite is the dish soap - love the dispenser and the powder is mess free and easy to use. I like the toilet clearner - effective, not super sudsy, but gets the job done. The dishwasher tabs were terrible: left a film residue no matter what I tried, including extra hot water. I literally threw them away (although, btw - they have great customer service!) The laundry detergent is a quirky one: on the one hand they clean very well, actually! On the other hand, if you have a front loader, then you have to deal with the issue that they don't dissolve immediately and come to the front and SIT in the front on the rubber gasket! So you have to open the door and send it back in. I finally figured out that if you break them into pieces, this doesn't happen. I started breaking them in halves - this reduced the number of times I had to open the door to send them back, but ultimately I had to break them into quarters to be able to actually go away and let the machine do it's thing without supervision. It's a bit of a hassle - but in the end I might actually stick with it - we'll see. I am trying one other plastic free option - but I kinda really like my cute tins that keep everything organized, so there's strong pull here despite the extra effort... hahah. Also - originally I tried the scent free version - but I really do like my laundry to have a nice smell, so I tried these. They seem SO overpowering in the tin/bag - but ultimately they leave a nice level of smell on the clothes that isn't overpowering. If they came out with a vanilla scent, then I'd happily break the tabs into quarters all day long and forget it's even an issue! hahah.

Wanted to love this because I’ve seen really great reviews of it and it’s an in store option close to me that’s non toxic vs online ordering. The scent is way strong. Too strong for my kids skin. Will stick with Attitude!

The smell is awful! To make it worse, I’ve washed my hands several times and they still smell from touching one tablet. It even smells outside from the external dryer vent. I hope my clothes aren’t ruined forever!
