Great sound but some dealbreakers
I really loved the sound quality and the beautiful color of these headphones. They were everything I hoped for in that regard. The problem was that they kept pausing whatever I was listening to even though I wasn’t removing them. It acted like I was taking them off when I wasn’t. I know I could have turned that feature off, but the auto pause when I remove the headphones was actually one of the reasons I bought them. They also weren’t very comfortable. The headband felt stiff when adjusting, the fit was tight on my head and the ear cups caused pain after a short time. After reading several reviews mentioning that the newer second generation fixed these issues, I decided to return this pair and trade up. I’m really glad I did. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Gen is the way to go. They are perfect!

Okay
The sound and noise cancellation is great. Fits well on these ears,. I gave it 3 stars because they don't fit tight around your head. The plastic that holds them to your ears is to "soft". I've never had this issue with the many other earphones I've ever owned.

Excellent sound quality/quiet, confusing controls
I have owned this set for about a month. The sound (music, talk) quality is excellent, the quiet setting is also excellent. Literally all outside noise is eliminated. However, the software controls are cumbersome and a bit confusing causing frustration. Example, simple on off is removing the head phones off the ear, moving the earpieces to a certain position shuts off the unit. Adjusting the earpieces can cause off-on-off.

Thankfully product is fine but this is how it looked when it was delivered. Obviously, someone opened it up to see what it was and then taped it back shut. Maybe because of the battery sticker in the outside they thought it was a phone or something.

Sound and material should have the quality
I purchased for these bose my brother, but I remained somewhat disappointed because my original purchased pair: ear cover needed to be replaced in one year's time. I'm 63 years old, and do not use them daily, perhaps once or twice a week. I have an older pair that lasted longer, about 5 years before ear pads needed replacement. This newer pair cost more, and seems less quality in material. They provide excellent quality sound, and are great for silence. I suffer with vascular headaches, and in airports these protectors prove faithful. Nevertheless, I'm already replacing an ear cover?

Good headphones
These headphones sound amazing... I've only had them for 2 weeks, totally worth it! The only thing I can say is after an hour or two, they do get hot around your ears, but other than that, I love them.
