A: I just received it and it does not come with a facial applicator. It is only for legs and underarms and bikini

Q: Can I use this in Europe? I would like it to travel and the voltage there is 220V. I understand I would need to purchase an adapter maybe?

A: Yes. The epil 5 uses a smartcord which will convert the power to a voltage the epilator can use. You may still need an adapter though depending on where you're traveling too.

Nothing about this item works. I've tried to use the shaver and it doesn't shave. I'm missing the guard piece for the epilator and can't use that. And I can't even return it. Don't waste your money

I have waxed for years, thought this would be easier and less painful and I wouldn’t havnt deal with razor burn. I was so wrong. This is the most painful thing to use, and it left an awful rash. I have light sensitive skin, dark hair and could barely get through using it on my lower legs. No way in hell would I be able to use it on my underarms or bikini. Yes I did everything to help decrease the pain (warm shower, etc). Returning because it’s actual torture

We have many safety checks in place to ensure your skin gets the treatment it deserves, so be assured this isn't what we expect especially since you followed the advice we shared in other reviews. Please know though that since the device removes hair from the follicle, there is bound to be some discomfort. We're unsure what else you've seen apart from the warm shower/bath, so we wanted to share some additional things that may improve future uses. If this is the first time you are using an epilator, or it’s been a while since you’ve epilated, shave your longer hairs first. After 1 or 2 weeks, the re-growth of short hairs will be much easier to epilate. Of course, epilate slowly, and try not to press the tweezers to the skin. We want you to enjoy using this device, so we'd like to hear from you about this and make a detailed report to our Safety Team. Please call us at 800-272-8611.

The epilator requires so many instances of going over the same patch of hair to get it pulled out. I didn’t find the razor to be very strong. Overall not a purchase I’d recommend.

If you have not done so already, please ensure your device is fully charged and epilates slowly after taking a warm bath or shower. The best thing I ever brought for hair removal. It’s so fast and easy. I use it for my face, arms and legs. u can use this everywhere! It’s so good I had to write a review. And if u are thinking to buy the one with the wire don’t. This is much better and a great investment.

80% of the hair were removed without roots. I have tried the Philips epilator and I wanted to invest in a better product but I am thinking of going back to the simple Phillips one because it pulls hair straight from the root and there's rarely any breakage. I expected more from this given the price.

Both the shaving and epilating attachments are great. They do exactly what they say they will. I will say, when I have done my underarms with the epilator, it has pinched a couple times, but that doesn’t mean the product doesn’t work. Just might be me pushing too hard. Lol.

It’s a little uncomfortable but it works great on my underarms and legs. You’re not going to get that “freshly shaved” feeling (cause there will always be hairs too tiny for it to grab), but it’s awesome none the less. I like the razor attachment for my bikini line too

It is the best cordless shaver I have ever had. Very smooth for limbs and axillary area. The epilator function is painful at the first two tries. I recommend not to use this function for axilla ray area. It is better to do on the extremities.

I bought this for the shaver attachment, not the epliator attachment. Maybe that's where I went wrong. Very little hair was removed, even with several passes. This device doubles or triples the amount of time compared to normal shaving. The bulkiness of the device is unappearling as well. Total let down.

When you use our Silk-epil 5, the only thing that should be let down is your hairs for no longer being attached to your body. When you hold the epilator at a 90-degree angle and go slowly, you should get super smooth results. It's best if the hairs are between 2-5mm long so the device can latch onto the hair with ease. It is cordless, easy to grip and hold, and doesn't irritate my skin. It's not messy like waxing, faster than tweezing, and gentler on my skin than shaving. I use it on my legs, face, arms, and underarms. I've used epilators for years so I do not feel much pain for discomfort from using this device. My last Braun epilator was very reliable and durable. I hope this one will last just as long. To me epilators pay for themselves so fast. The cost of razors or going to the salon adds up fast.

Perfect for shaving upper lip, legs, underarm, stomach, and your cookie. Epilators are painful so expect pain unless you add some lidocaine. Made my skin looking amazing. This is easy tin use, clean and charge. So worth it. Smooth and silky legs.

This is definitely the epitome of a love-hate relationship. Grabs the majority of the hairs in one pass and the pain sensation definitely diminishes a lot after a few passes. However, I have a decent pain tolerance and this thing hurts. Don’t let anyone say otherwise! You will get used to it if you keep up with it. So far all I’m able to do is my underarms and the dark hairs that grow below my belly button. I can only get through half of my legs before giving up and resorting to shaving. I also really like the razor attachment, great for areas you want to groom but not epilate!

I was hopeful to receive this item because I am tired of shaving because it just doesn't last. I knew this product would hurt, but I didn't think this much. I tried to tough it out but you have to basically hold it on one spot of your leg for a long time for it to even grab all the hairs. It's like it just grabs them partially and breaks them in half instead of ripping them from the root. If I could even stand the pain long enough, it would take forever to do my whole leg. From the small patches I was able to manage, it left my legs stubbly and with red bumps. Those do seem to go away over night, however. Not worth the pain when it doesn't even grasp all the hairs and doesn't leave you with smooth legs.
