A: The water tank and dispersion plate in the portafilter to assist with preventing spitting and spurting while extracting espresso in the Breville® BES876 Barista Express® Impress are both BPA free and the only plastic that the water used in the expresso machine will come in contact with.

A: The grinder of the Breville® BES876 Barista Express® Impress does not need to be used and the tamper level would be bypassed if the grinder is so pre-ground coffee can be used and manually tamped into the filter cups. 54mm tampers can be purchased directly from Breville®.

A: The Breville® BES875 Barista Express™ Impress can extract espresso, dispense hot water and heat and froth milk. Any combination created with those is possible. It also has the ability to create 2 single shot cups of espresso at one time.

It’s amazing
I got my machine a month ago and it’s everything and more. The only thing that was tough was figuring out the correct bean grind to effect the right pressure. With that said there is a bunch of videos out there. Just had to work with it a bit. Love this machine, now I’m a pro.

Grinder and brewing failed in under a year
I purchased the Barista Express less than a year ago and the grinder stopped working in the middle of grinding beans. Despite thorough cleaning, the grinder is jammed and all lights flash, making the machine completely unusable — it won’t even brew without the grinder functioning. For the price point of this machine, I expected better durability and reliability. Very disappointed that such an expensive investment failed so quickly.

We upgraded from our previous Breville machine. We love the automatic tamper as it really helps keep the area clean from coffee grinds. It hasn’t changed the coffee flavour and we all love it.

Wrong Item Received and Target won't provide support
Can’t give a review on the actual item as Target shipped me a TABLE BASE instead of an espresso machine! Filed a report with Target that the wrong item was received. They gave me a shipping label to send back the table base and then DENIED my return. They refuse to reverse the denial and issue a refund. I’ve reached out to Target numerous times and they have been no help. Would love to be able to review this item in the future if Target will ever refund me for their error. Attached is a photo of the item I received instead. Sincerely, Incredibly disappointed, broken hearted and desperately in need of caffeine💔😫

OKAY BUT ENDED UP RETURNING
good looking, high quality feel, the coffee just couldn't come out right in taste for me, lots of effort required, and still never could get there. bland taste. Wish I knew: Any larger than normal coffee mug won't fit under, annoying to use 2 glasses. Hot water dispenser splashes everywhere if used right after the steam wand. Decent, but not worth the effort.

It’s been 3 months and I’m so incredibly disappointed by this machine
I really really tried to make this machine work but the precision dosing is horrendous. The assisted tamping is also pointless. I wish I would’ve just purchased the non impress version of this so I can just do my dose and dial in my coffee in a better way. I even had a barista friend come to help me and they even said the dosing & impress feature is absolutely the downfall of this machine. I get my beans from my local coffee shop, it’s always 1-2 weeks freshly roasted. I’ve gone through about 8 bags of beans at this point and have only gotten maybe 5 cups off good coffee. I’m so sad I can’t return this.

Came with missing accessories
Do not buy these machines from Target. They sent me the machine that seems as if it was a return and they re sold It. I didn’t get any of the item needed to properly operate the machine. Meaning the water filter, descaler that is supposed to come in the box. All they told me they could do for me is I can return it and re buy it. This is not an easy item to just box up and carry into a store. And I got it on a sale price so rebuying it would mean I would have to pay more. Waste of your time. Go elsewhere

This machine is amazing!! It is so easy to use, and the espresso comes out perfect every time. The auto tamping System is Great and it produces zero mess. The design makes it super easy to clean and the footprint is not that large. I would 100% recommend this machine to anybody interested in having delicious coffee drinks every morning

I've been considering an espresso machine upgrade for several years. I thought these machines were simply "fancier" than what I had and had no idea how wrong I was. I’m sure this machine can consistently make a decent coffee, but I haven’t managed it yet.
For someone who likes a quick coffee in the morning this machine requires too much science that I don’t have time for. And it wastes a lot of beans. Coffee either drips or pours like water. I’m stuck with it, so have to persist
