I bought this item last Feb 16 and just today Oct 21/2019 (just 8 months later), the electronic filter change indicator stopped from working. I'd like to known what should I do? The container cracked and started leaking in our fridge. Also does not filter water well. I check a water bottle vs the filtered water and the levels were awful. Will be returning.

Very bad leakage
I have had four of these in the last two years. Every one of them has leaked all over my fridge after a few months. I had a previous version of this dispenser that lasted 20 years. I replaced it when I bought a smaller fridge because it was wider than I wanted. I wish I had kept it. It would be worth the space to not have floods in my fridge every few months.

Doesn't work with Elite Filter
I purchased this and added the extra filtering with the Elite filter. However, the filter doesn't fit suggly in the space and so water is leaking around the sides and not getting filtered. The website says this filter works for all models. Not sure what the problem is. I texted customer service and they said to firming push the filter in, which I did. Same problem continues.

IT BROKE! BUT I BOUGHT IT AGAIN?????
THE SPIGOT TAB BROKE AND IT ONLY DISPENSED A TRICKLE! Why am I giving it 5 star? Cause this critical failure of the Brita happened after almost a decade of it being my families main water supply. This thing was a wedding gift and has lasted 4 moves, 3 cats trying to kill it mufasa/scar style, 2 toddlers that have no strength control while practicing filling up their cups, and everything else. When it broke we IMMEDIATELY went out and bought it again! Love this dang thing and definitely worth every penny!

I took the valve apart which is pretty easy because of the nice design and it appears that there was a particulate of some sort creating a space in the stopper that was making it leak, but one I cleaned the stopper it stopped leaking, this is a good company, they responded to my problem immediately, so I’v changed my review from a negative to a positive. I liked it for a few months, but then it started leaking and soaked my carpet and became worthless, they need to redesign the spigot, maybe a turn style or something that isn't as prone to leaking.

I bought this because I liked the idea of having fresh, clean cold water all the time in my fridge. It would have been great if it didn't drip water every 5 second. The water drops have to be collected by a bowl under it. A waste of time. I would never tell anyone to buy it.

Spigot constantly dripping
I bought the Brita water filter dispenser only 6 months ago and the spigot is constantly dripping. I have to put a cup under the spigot to prevent everything getting all wet. Either the spigot is defective or just plain back design. Not worth the price or headache of it.

Perfect addition to the family!
So this was purchased to replace an older brita model. To start it’s definitely thinner and taller than my original. Seems to hold less water also, but overall it works great. I appreciate the thinner model it opened up more space in the refrigerator. Not so crowded now. Looks good and the water is crisp and delicious. A++ love the upgraded filter too.

Disappointed in the Flaws
I bought this dispenser at the end of May 2025. Over the past few weeks, the spout has been leaking all over my fridge. I am very disappointed that this product failed after less than three months. It seems that at a minimum, if you know that the spout is a point of weakness, you should either fix your design OR offer replacement parts so that I do not have to try to figure out how to have safe drinking water in my last few weeks of pregnancy.

Disappointed – Leaking Spout and Cracked Base
I really wanted to like this Ultramax 27-cup dispenser, but I’m very disappointed with the quality. The spout started leaking not long after I began using it, and now the bottom is cracking, which is also causing water to leak. I expected this product to last much longer, especially from a trusted brand.

Leaking
I bought my dispenser about a month ago and it’s already leaking. I have to keep a cup underneath the dispenser, as water is constantly dripping.
