Q: How do you change the smart filter sensor? Mine got wet (of course) and apparently developed mold because it will trap water if it gets wet. Is the whole thing now junk because it got wet once?

A: Thanks for asking, Tina! We're happy to help and want to share that our Elite Filter should take no more than 10-15 minutes to filter a reservoir of water in your Denali Pitcher. The only exceptions are water that is high in sediment or air. Keep in mind that the reservoir should be filled several times to achieve the full capacity of the pitcher. Our Standard Filter lasts 2 months (40 gallons) and reduces chlorine (taste & odor), mercury, cadmium, copper, zinc, and more. Our Elite Filter lasts 6 months (120 gallons) and reduces chlorine (taste & odor), lead, mercury, cadmium, benzene, asbestos, Class 1 particulates, and more. A: Great question, Pat! Our Soho Pitcher shown includes our SmartLight indicator, which features a light that pulses at the top of the lid every time you pour. It will flash green when the filter life is sufficient, yellow when you need to replace it soon, and red when it's time to change the filter. I do wish the pitcher itself was glass; that’d help combat the microplastic threat. It doesn’t hold much water, and the top flap doesn’t stay latched. I’ve tried other Brita pitchers that I prefer much more over this.

We have really hard, mineral heavy water where we live and it completely removes the flavor of those minerals. We keep ours in the fridge so we always have cold water ready to go. I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit of a "water snob" I can taste the difference between water and avoid tap water. At the opportunity to try this product, I've always been interested in a water filter of sorts. This Brita pitcher water filter is an excellent value. 6 cup capacity, fill line, handle and easy to store in a fridge. I actually tried a cup of water straight from the tap and then a cup from this pitcher and there is definitely a taste difference, feeling a lot better about water straight from the sink. I believe it does what it claims and recommend for anyone who wants a good value and easy to store water filter pitcher. I received this product complimentary for my honest review.

The water is more flavorless through the blue filters than through the regular white filters. The 6 cup pitcher is good for smaller fridges. I personally find it too small and I will be switching back to my 10 cup filter. Fortunately the filters are compatible with both pitchers, which is very convenient.

When you tilt to pour your icy cold water, the green light comes on indicating that its working. My water has never tasted better! It gets the murky mud tatse out. One its time to replace the filter the light will stay on. So you will always know when it's ready. Easy peasy! If it works with my water, it will work for anyones!
