Brookstone Heated Blanket

Excellent blanket. It’s my second Brookstone electric blanket. Wore out the first one. This has much better controls. Same design, but is improved.

I purchased 2 twin blankets in dark grey. The fabric is soft and silky. Te blanket is very thin and lightweight. The heating wires are rather thick and stiff by comparison, and are quite noticeable through the blanket. The wires do not extend throughout the blanket. Instead they stop about 12" from the edges, meaning only the area in the middle of the blanket (about the size of the surface of the mattress) will become warm. this feels like a cost and quality cutting measure. The blankets were quite overpriced for the quality. I would have chosen something nicer if any were available. Let's hope they heat up.

The blanket had been used and put back in the box. Pieces were missing and no directions.

I guess it would be ok on a bed, but I have it on high and I don’t feel like it’s that warm. I can’t feel the wires as much which is a big plus but if I move my feet around it doesn’t even feel warm all over

Barely heats up! The heat has been on high for an hour now and it feels like it's barely on. Don't waste your money.

Great blanket! Have a throw and decided on this for the bed. Does get pretty warm through the night so set the timer for about two hours and it’s perfect.

Overall, this blanket is comfortable, soft, and warm. It has 2 cords on the queen size; one for controlling each “side” of the blanket as it is presumed two people are sharing the blanket. It does warm up quickly and the controllers do light up, which makes it easy to find and adjust in the dark, if necessary. However, I had to rate it only four stars as the description states that the blanket I purchased is gray, the box states it is gray and it looks a lot more blue than it does gray. So if you were looking for something that is truly gray, this blanket does not look gray. I have no other complaints at this point.

My husband likes a low-warm setting while I love a little more heat.. we get the best of both worlds! The size of the blanket is perfect, it’s so so soft, and the color is a great neutral which fits our home aesthetic perfectly. Would recommend to anyone who loves to share a blanket, but still gets their own experience with the separate heating structure!

It is very thin and you can feel the wires inside. Also it didn't heat evenly and would just stop heating altogether. I had to return it and get something from somewhere else.

I bought the heated throw from Brookstone and absolutely fell in love. I used that thing all the time, my husband was jealous he didn't have coverage so he bought us this one, thinking it would be an upgrade. Unfortunately that was not the case. The throw has 4 heat settings (4 being the highest) and I usually have it on 3. This king size heated blanket I put on setting 10 and it just doesn't compare. It is warm, but not as much as I'd like. Also seems to heat very unevenly.

Very warm

This is probably my fault, but I didn’t realize that it was a dual remote blanket. Remotes are very clunky and it’s annoying to have two large remotes on a blanket for each side. It does warm nicely though and it’s nice large blanket.

I got this because my apartment is very unreliable in turning the radiators on in the winter (“it uses a sensor,” they say. “It’s 40 degrees in my unit when the city requires it to be 65 or warmer” “well it uses a sensor so we can’t control it”… I’m skeptical but I’ll leave them be for now). Anyway, I had it on 9 (which is the second highest setting, H is 10 it seems), got in bed, then I realized that I might actually be slowly roasting. Granted, it was only 40 degrees outside, so not super cold, but I had to switch it down to 2 and then had it turn off after 3 hours or so. As a note, I have a thin plush knit blanket on top: they say not to do this because it traps heat- which I guess is good if temperatures get close to 0- but I have it on top because I don’t want to have to wash this blanket constantly (I have two kittens that are fans of jumping around and they shed a decent amount… I’m not sure how this blanket material would fare with making lint rolling more or less effective, so I just stick with a small blanket on top). All in all, it works well. I haven’t had it for long, so I can’t speak to its durability. Also to note: it seems like the sides don’t heat much, if at all. Which I guess is good if your bed is a daybed with a “headboard” on the long end like mine; you’re not supposed to fold or scrunch up the blanket so if there’s no heating on the edges, it works out if you have to fold the edges a little to get it to fit without pushing it down the sides of the mattress. Also as a note, I got this on sale: $50 for a twin size electric blanket is a little steep imo, I got it for $40 (and had a gift card from a previous target promo).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heated blanket is just what I needed for the chilly months ahead. It is so nice and toasty. It heats up very fast and is very easy to use. I love that it’s washable, and very pretty. I am obsessed with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blanket material itself is SO soft and cozy, however, I wasn’t a fan of the dual electric plugs. This is helpful for couples who like sleeping at different temperatures, but I don’t like how it needs to be plugged in to two different outlets. This only works for our place because we have several outfits on all walls and the room is small enough to reach, but overall seems like a trip hazard and makes me feel anxious having two heating elements plugged in at the same time. Otherwise it heats up nice and evenly and gets quite warm. Personally, I prefer heated throws vs the larger queen sized one. Feels a lot more controlled and less like a pile of wires on you in (an otherwise) soft blanket
