Q: Should we use on baby less than 2 years old?

submitted by Jess - 6 years ago
  • A: Always check with your doc, but in our personal case this was the ONLY ointment we used from 2 months on. I think this one had the highest amount of zinc in it to help heal my baby girls toooshy.

    submitted byclaudia m - 6 years ago
  • A: Great question, Jess! While our Baby Bee Diaper Rash Ointmentour is pediatrician-tested formula safely keeps baby's bottom smooth and healthy, we recommend reaching out to your physician before applying. For additional questions or concerns, please give us a buzz at 800-849-7112 so we can help. Kim from the Burt's Bees Team.

Q: Is this ointment ok to use with cloth diapers?

submitted by Kylieemoyses - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi there, thank you for taking the time to reach out to us! Unfortunately, our Baby Bee products have not been tested for compatibility with reusable cloth diapers, and so we are unable to confirm at this time. • A: diaper ointments containing zinc oxide (which, this one does) should not be used with cloth diapers or need to have a disposable liner as a barrier between the ointment and the cloth.

This is my favorite diaper cream. Nice and thick - creates a great barrier and quickly heals any problem areas. I apply every night at bedtime and we've never had a problem with diaper rash.

This is by far our favorite barrier cream in our house. We have two toddlers, and both have used this cream since birth when they have irritation or diaper rash. We trust the ingredients more than most other brands, and it seems to work quickly and effectively to clear their skin up. The smell is an added bonus. The only downside is that it is sometimes hard to squeeze the cream out when nearly empty due to the design of the container. We still recommend and will continue buying as long as our kids are in diapers.

My 2 week old had a pretty bad diaper rash. Doctor recommended using aquaphor mixed with cornstarch to make a thick paste. When we ran out of that we had this in her closet unused. This made all the difference and to me worked much better than the aquaphor. Diaper rash cleared up within about 24 hours of using this

We were dealing with some crazy diaper rash until we found this stuff. I love that when we go to change a diaper, this stuff is still on the skin and providing protection. We saw immediate results in the amount or rashes we got as well as how quickly they healed.

My little one had a bad reaction to this ointment (which looks more cream based). It was red, sore and extremely bump after use. I stopped using to allow to heal (used organic coconut oil and lavender instead). Tried days later, bumps and rash returned.

I don’t normally purchase many baby care products from big name brands as I prefer products w/ minimal ingredients. With that, this Burt’s Bees diaper rash ointment is by far the BEST I have tried. It 100% prevents and heals any type of rash or skin irritation and it works fast! It’s slightly unbelievable but thanks to this product my boy has never been uncomfortable due to redness or irritation. Thank you Burt’s Bees!

My son has had the worst diaper rash his whole life (now 2.5). He’s had to be treated by the wound care team at childrens, and nothing has worked to help it except for this product. Can’t live without it, literally.

This is the best diaper cream, ONLY one that helps my babies bum! But why is it chunky all of the sudden? I’ve bought several and all have had big chunks like it was frozen at one point or something…

Very thick cream through the tube packaging is very hard when you're at the last bit of the cream, so much loss of product!! But works great on my baby's diaper rash. We apply it after every diaper change (after cleaning skin) and it helped keep the rash from having the skin open

This cream really works like a dream. If your LO has a diaper rash, buy it. Burt’s Bees, PLEASE take the consumers feedback into consideration and come out with better packaging. It’s next to impossible to squeeze the last 20% out of the tube. I can’t imagine how it would be if you had difficulties with your hands or arthritis. I dread changing diapers even more than usual when I’m low on the product. Packaging similar to the multipurpose ointment would be far superior.
