Q: Can you please post the instructions?
A: Planter Preparation: Step 1: In a bowl, dissolve growing medium pellet in 2 tablespoons of water and fluff with a fork. Growing medium should be moist but not soggy. Set aside. Step 2: Fill ceramic planter with 1 cup of water. Do not overfill—the water should never touch the bottom of the inner pot. Set aside. Step 3: Thread each end of the wick out through the holes in the bottom of the inner pot. Adjust the wick so the ends are even in length. Pull the center of the wick up so it forms an upside-down 'U' that reaches just above the slits along the sides of the inner pot. Step 4: While holding the wick in place, fill the inner pot with rocks up to the top of the slits. The center loop of the wick should remain exposed across the top of the rocks. Step 5: Rinse the inner pot (with wick and rocks in place) under warm, running water for 30 seconds, then place the inner pot into the planter. Step 6: Add the prepared growing medium (from Step 1) on top of the rocks. Instructions: Step 1: Sow 5–7 basil seeds by gently pressing them into the surface of the growing medium and lightly cover with ¼” of growing medium. Save any remaining seeds for future plantings. Step 2: Place in a warm, bright location with ample air circulation. Use a spray bottle to keep the surface of the growing medium evenly moist. Check the planter every 3–5 days to ensure that the water is still in contact with the wick. Basil seeds will germinate in 7–14 days. Step 3: When the seedlings develop their second set of leaves, begin watering with a balanced liquid plant fertilizer mixed at half-strength every other watering. Step 4: When watering, remove the inner pot and discard any remaining water from the planter. Rinse the planter thoroughly and refill with 1 cup of fresh water or fertilizer solution. Tip: Once a month, remove the insert pot and water thoroughly from the top with plain water to flush out any fertilizer buildup.
