Q: After extending the rod to the full length, can I tighten the middle so that it doesn't extend any more? Otherwise, when I pull my curtains open/closed, the rod just keeps pulling out.

Q: If we want to use sheers along with drapes will we need a separate curtain rod in order to open and close drapes?

A: Hi Kat, You can use sheers and a curtain both on a single rod. However, some people tend to prefer a double shower rod instead just because it's less hassle to replace/move when you have two rods in one. The only thing to be aware of is that a café rod is best suited for lightweight curtains. Hope this helps!

This looks like decent quality but it bows in middle so it won't work for my cafe curtains. Perhaps if it was hung higher & was used for really lightweight curtains and could have a support in the middle , they'd be better . Will need to return

Flimsy and cheap feeling. Not worth the price. Doesn't come with wall anchors so if you have nothing but dry wall you might want to be sure to not hang anything heavier than a sheer see through small curtain.

Bent the same day we hung it, even with a support hook in the middle. The larger rod seemed strong enough, but the inner rod was very flimsy.

very flimsy, soft metal. completely bent on us during the installation process. even with three hooks, I have no doubt this rod would warp over time on a longer window.

Perfect and easy to set up. Inexpensive and still has a sleek look. It's clearly a thinner rod, so it's not meant to hold up super heavy curtains! The bad reviews here are from people saying it's cheap and breaks. Not accurate. Ok, these are the same people who forgot to add a bracket in the middle of the rod for support. Of course it will sag with curtains that are too heavy and without a middle support bracket! It comes with 4 brackets total! Not sure how user error can justify a bad review, but don't let the bad reviews deter you. Great price and looks great! Definitely recommend.

Ok so it is 7 months later. I am moving soon and Not taking these curtain rods with me. In 7 months I have NEVER been able to open my curtains without climbing on a chair! They get caugh in the middle and the rod is so flimsy they fall down! I wasted my money on 4 of these do not buy!

I bought three of these rods to hang up a curtain in my kitchen window and one on my door. I installed the first two, they were easy to install and effortlessly held a lightweight curtain (I didn't extend the rod at all though, so there was no chance of it bowing out like other people were mentioning). Overall, great quality for the price, but one of my rods did not come with any hardware at all. I will have to return it for another or get a refund, not stoked about that.

These are stylish, inexpensive and just the right size. I use them for sheer curtains over blinds in our kitchen and my office bc I hate just looking at white blinds all day. I wouldn't hang anything heavy on them, but perfect for my needs.

Unbelieavbly thin and flimsy. You cannot use this if you plan on extending it very far at all or if you want to hang anything beyond a sheer curtain. Just extending it with my blackout curtains on it caused it to start to bend and come apart at the seam. This will not last and is garbage.

Bought this because I had trouble finding a long enough curtain rod for my window. It split down the middle of the rod after 5 months use- with light chiffon curtains.
