Overpriced for the quality and customer service you recieve. Item stained almost instantly even after wiping down every use. Then a couple months later pieces starting breaking off. I left a 1 star review on their website, and then they DELETED MY REVIEW. They sent me an email and said they couldnt help unless I provided a receipt. Which I do not have because it was a gift. It is just their way of not helping me out.

Our granddaughter bought us the brewer to match our other Cafe appliances. We have found the Carafe to be extremely fragile and replacements expensive. It time to go back to the Keurig!

Loved this coffee maker until it came to descale. Followed the direction but light won’t go off and now it stopped working. Just gives error message. This is such a disappointment considering the cost of the product. I would not recommend buying it!

We want to help out with your coffee maker not operating properly. When descale is flashing under the time display, it means that too much limescale has built up on the heater. Also, it can be important to remember when descaling, if the carafe is removed, the heater and pump is shut off and displays “Err” error code, after 2 minutes the screen will return to idle clock state. To fix the error place the carafe back. We also recommend trying an electronic reset, which can be done by removing the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in. This is the most expensive and worst coffee maker I have ever had. The coffee quality is not good. Does not stay WARM for more than 30 min. Descaled light on and will not go off after multiple treatments. And the rose gold handle has Peeled off. And we have had it for 15 months but it was not used for more than 6 months as we were in Fl

Very dissatisfied with this product. I loved how it worked but stopped brewing in less than two years regular usage. They tell me it is not repairable. I thought for the price I would get a high quality product.

This is my second Cafe drip coffee maker, The first lasted about 5 yrs then the water sensor failed. Brews well and quickly. Design looks nice but I wish it had detachable water reservoir. Have only had this brewe for a month so can't comment on durability.

Like many of the other reviews, my brewer hasn't held up. The finish has rubbed off and the plastic parts have chipped. I have had mine about a year and for the price I would expect much more (especially from GE).

Previous coffeemakers owned included one that brewed at least three pots a day for over fifteen years, and the one we retired when getting this one, still functioning after ten years. As we have the suite of Cafe appliances, we chose this one. First hint of compromise was that the descaling instructions were copied from the previous model's manual and pasted into this one, while in actuality, the protocol is entirely different. Then yesterday, after a mere eighteen months of use, it failed. I suspect the water sensor took a cab, based on what's happening. So while the design is pleasant, and it makes enjoyable coffee, if you want something dependable, do look elsewhere. Poor quality components will rear their cheap little heads.

We recommend resetting your coffee maker by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function and eliminate the error code, we recommend taking advantage of your limited warranty. Made great coffee until it died after 6 months of casual use. Apparently this is a known defect. Tried contacting GE and while they were very nice, it was futile. Didn't do anything other than put me on hold. Time to buy something new....

I would love to give this coffee maker 5 stars. It does make good coffee, looks nice, and seemed built well. However I have now had 3 fail in the exact same way. They stop pumping water. The first one was replaced under warranty, which was good of them. The second maker failed in the same way, and the one that I gifted also failed in the same way. Oddly, they would pump water when you would do a descaling, however not when coffee was ask of it. Unless CAFE fixes their QC issues, I can not recommend.
