    Need it for coffee after running out of real milk. Black coffee feels like punishment. But these little cans are pricey and you need one of them for each cup of coffee. Sure, better than powdered for the cooling effect, but try to get the real thing. The cans are tiny, but a bigger one would rot in the fridge. All in all, it is a good backup staple from the vache qui rit, and I know why she's laughing

    Milk fiend

    Today I needed 2% milk for a recipe. So, we opened a can of Carnation and poured it into a measuring cup, then added our skim milk to reach 2 1/2 cups. My layered dessert turned out great. Thanks !

    yes i will buy it again

    I use this evaporated milk when i make white gravy. We use skim milk to save on calories but we want our gravy creamy. So, i pour in a cup or so of skim milk and stir it in w/ the flour mixture and then pour in a can of carnation milk and my husband pours skim milk in the can and he swishes it around and we pour it in w/ the gravy. It is divine. Also, I use it for the milk when I make butter cream frosting. I do have a few recipes that call for a an of condensed milk.So back to the cabinet for the carnation.

    Versatile

    I never realized that carnation could be used for cooking and baking. I had alwayd only used it for baking. A friend showed me a tater tots casserole recipe using it. AMAZING! Looking for more recipes now :)
