Perfect Beginner Machine!
I’ve been looking for an alternative to nespresso for awhile that didn’t break the bank but still made good espresso, and this is it! Super user friendly while still being very capable. It does come with a pressurized portafilter which may be a downside for some, but for me it does the job just fine! I do think casabrews sells a bottomless portafilter for those looking to dial in their shots a bit more. Could not recommend this machine enough!

Disappointed
I was disappointed to see this product is made mostly of plastic. The Amazon Material Specs say the material is "brushed steel" and the Casabrew prouct Specifications ominously omit the Materials section. I should have been skeptical of that. Casabrews noted that all materials that come into contact with the coffee are stainless steel, it's just everything else that's plastic. After purchasing the product I was offered money to post a video showing how much I loved it. Clearly Casabrews gets 5 stars for their branding, and I have no doubt many of the reviewers truly do love their machine. But if you're a purist like me who is trying to remove plastic from your kitchen and are disillusioned with partial information on product Specifications, I hope this information is helpful to you.

Excellent small machine.
This machine is the perfect size and makes yummy coffee! Perfect. I gave it a 4 star, because the steamer isn't awesome. It works to warm up the milk and make some froth, but that's my only complaint.

Wonderful espresso and for a fraction of the cost of most. The only drawback is waiting for machine to cool down after steaming milk. So if it’s just espresso you’re after, this is the machine to get.

The 5418 is a great little entry level espresso machine. Get a bottomless portafilter and non-pressurized basket with an espresso puck screen and you'll never miss going to a coffeeshop.

Temperature
Hello, I bought this coffee machine about two months ago and overall it works well, but I’ve noticed one issue: the coffee comes out extremely hot. It sometimes burns my mouth and I it might be overheating the coffee beans. Is there any way to adjust the temperature settings or prevent the machine from brewing at such a high temperature? This changes the whole experience for me, since instead of enjoying the coffee I need to wait for it to cool down and it doesn’t taste the same. Thanks for your help.

You can try reducing the coffee grounds slightly or using a slightly coarser grind to lower the pressure, and shorten the brewing time — this usually helps bring down the temperature. Solid Machine for Everyday Use
Got the CM5418 a while back, and it’s been my go-to every morning. Pulls a good shot and the crema looks great. I like that it doesn’t take up too much space on my counter. Only thing is, the pressure gauge sometimes feels a bit slow to react, but it hasn’t affected the taste of my coffee. For the price, I think it’s a really good value.

Casabrews doesnt leak like Delongi
I ordered this coffee machine because of relatives being very pleased and having longevity with theirs. So far I am very happy with the espresso it makes, and the ease of using this machine. No complaints; read tips from other reviewers and the instructions and it's pretty simple to use.

Good machine for the money.
Reasonable machine – good for the price. Almost identical to one bought under a different name - Wirsh - a few years back, for a different location. Only visible difference is the addition of a pressure gage, different control buttons, and slightly different programming. Only odd thing was how the filter basket is held in the handle. This one uses a raised dot on the basket and a slot in the handle. No mention of that in the instructions. Note that this type of machine is not repairable. It is designed and built for inexpensive manufacturing. Like many products these days.

Buy it! Your coffee shop ritual in your kitchen
This is the first espresso machine I have owned and I don’t think I’ve loved any other appliance more. My husband and I were spending so much on coffee shop visits multiple times a week. I got this as a Father’s Day gift for him and am blown away by 1) how easy it is to use, 2) how fun it is! it’s such a simple ritual we genuinely look forward to, and 3) that it’s super easy to clean, so much easier than a traditional coffee maker or cold press. After having this, I don’t know why the norm in the U.S. is to have a clunky coffee maker for a full pot, taking up space and being difficult to fully clean. This is the best, cleanest, yummiest coffee you can make at home hands down. At least for newbies like us. It’s so fast to make your latte (or whatever you’re making). We have a small kitchen and this takes up barely any counter space, and a huge plus that it’s a cute color and blends in well (we got the beige). Have not had a single issue with this machine. Such a thoughtful and well made design. Thank you Casa Brews for our daily oat milk lavender lattes!!

Great value and super easy to use
First time espresso machine owner! I was nervous about using it since I read all the comments about requiring a lot of tools and accessories to get a legit espresso set up. I'm happy to share that after purchasing the CM5418 I can produce high quality espresso without having to pay for one of those super expensive machines. It's super easy to use, clean, and set up.

Sleek and compact
Purchased this unit to replace a larger fully automatic machine which unfortunately was too big for my counter space. This Casabrew is small ,compact looks great on my counter, but more than that it makes a great tasting espresso ( short , double ) and also cappuccino. Highly recommended.

Simple to use!
I have never made my own expresso and was a little unsure of getting my own machine. My adult daughter loves creating coffee drinks and has worked as a barista so we spent quality time together while she taught me to use it. I caught on quickly; it's not as intimidating as it first seems. I like the ability to make my own drinks because most things taste overly sweet to me and this allows me to add just the amount of flavor and sweetener that I like. I still haven't mastered steaming the oat milk and I can't tap the coffee grounds out (I scrape them out with a plastic knife), but the machine is fun. I think it is worth the price even though I only use it once or twice a week. It doesn't take up much space on the counter which is another bonus for me.
