A: One noticeable difference is the pressure gauge that is included in the front of the more expensive model. It is absent in the cheaper model.

I'm very disappointed with this item. First, the biggest problem is that it is VERY top heavy. It is not a heavy item but the top half of the machine is a lot heavier than the bottom so when you want to lock the portafilter into place, you have to ancor the machine by finding a part of the machine on the bottom half of it and pull in the opposite direction to keep the machine from toppling over. The portafilter is also very cheaply made. It's definitely aluminum and not stainless steel. Espresso quality is terrible. The crema isn't creamy at all. You can see it's full of large bubbles. I am an Espresso lover and this machine simply doesnt cut it. The Espresso itself below the crema tastes watered down. Like a stong coffee. I tried to give this machine a chance but the fact that you have to hold on to.it to ancor it to lock the portafilter is ridiculous. Absolutely not recommended. Going to return it today.

Too big, for too little
For starters, the portafilter baskets are strange and awkward to wash. The metal playe scratches very easily. The amount of espresso you get on the double shot setting is barely the size of one. To make a decent iced layte, I have to run this twice at the double shot. I've owned far better machines for half the cost. Another issue is how big this machine is for what it does. It's not that complicated. I've used better machines about half the size of this one. If you’re not picky, have lots of counter space and are just a basic coffee drinker, this might be ok for you. Otherwise, I'd pass on this one.
