Effective but oily
It’s super effective to reduce risk of sunburn, but the lotion itself feels extremely oily on my hands and on my face looks very shinny. It is fairly thick so takes a lot to rub in as well.

Super chalky and DRY. Someone mentioned halloween stick make-up and that's what this is like. My skin is not supple nor oily, so it was like applying a thick gluey substance that wouldn't absorb or spread.

Love this product. It is very forgiving when applying layers. You can add more layers, and it is never too much. Applies light, looks good, moisturizes. Covers up my Rosacea pretty well. Couldn't be happier with a product. only wish it came in a bigger tube or a refillable tube and refill packets

I applied liberally per the instructions. My face was very white but I thought it would absorb or fade some. It did not so I wiped off a good bit. Won’t buy again

Day walker
Absolutely NOT. I took a chance in this sunscreen. I usually use LRP Anth**** SPF 50. I compared active ingredients of the products, and they were similar. What I look for in a sunscreen: mineral (my eyes are very sensitive and chem/hybrid make my eyes burn and water like crazy) Formulated for sensitive skin (I get orbital eczema so it has to be very gentle) Light texture and translucent (I use a 1/2 - 3/4 TBS so greasy feeling gives me a major ick) Cerave Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen for face IS a mineral sunscreen. It did not make my eyes water or burn, but that is where the positive attributes stop. This lotion irritated my eczema so horribly I had to rush home and wash it off my face and reapply my topical medication. The lotion is thick and greasy. It leaves such a prominent white cast that I was asked if I was a day-walker in a Blade movie. Objectively hilarious, but I didn’t need to be so violently dragged while ordering my coffee on a Sunday morning.

If I could give this less than 1 star, I certainly would! Left a horrible, greasy white cast that wouldn't even budge when I tried to wash it off. I do not recommend it whatsoever.

Takes over an hour to blend into skin and leaves an awful white cast. I even noticed it on my hairline hours after application. There are much better and cheaper mineral sunscreen options, skip this one.

Awful
This lotion is terrible. It states on the container that it is "lightweight and non-greasy." It felt like applying paint to my skin. It took forever to absorb and my skin didn't feel hydrated. Don't waste your money.

Works great! A little goes a long way. Make sure to moisturize first.
It works great! I prefer mineral sun screens. It’s true it can leave a whiteish cast on your skin but I found that if you moisturize well first and then apply it doesn’t seem to create that white haze that some have had trouble with. But I’m also a fairly light skinned guy so if you are applying it on top of make up or have a darker skin tone you’ll probably want to use one of the Cerave’s tinted mineral sun screens. I used to use the tinted one but didn’t like the way it felt. This one is pretty lightweight and not greasy and doesn’t clog my pores.
