I’m using the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and it’s good for my skin. That’s why i tried this one for my night cream. After 3 nights of using this, i developed some rashes on my cheeks and chin area. I’m very disappointed. Will definitely want to return this product.
I really had high hopes for this product, but unfortunately for my skin type it is a no go. I have very sensitive acne prone skin (yay for hormonal acne am I right) and this product upset it. I would still say it is a very great product that saved my dry skin, but unfortunately for me it broke me out. If you have hormonal or cystic acne and are looking for a product I would suggest not trying this out.
I have combination skin that tends to get very dehydrated and dry, yet still very oily. I like to use a thick moisturizer at night because I've noticed I actually wake up oilier if I don't moisturize enough at night. My skin is also very sensitive and prone to irritation so I look for fragrance-free products. I remember using Cetaphil religiously when I was in high school and suffering from terrible hormonal acne. One day I decided to pick this up in Target when I ran out of my usual night cream and was looking for a cheaper alternative. The product is nice and light but it is VERY hydrating. It might almost feel greasy once it's on. I don't mind that in a night cream because I feel that my skin absorbs it well through the night. Despite it probably not being oil free, I found that it didn't irritate my skin. In fact, I wake up with even, bright, smooth skin. I even have a natural glow that is in no way oily. I'm very picky with moisturizers but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. For the price, I think it is great. Cetaphil makes amazing products that don't have unnecessary fragrances or ingredients. All the products I have tried from Cetaphil do what they are supposed to do. That is very difficult to find even in products that are 3 times the price. I just wish it had other benefits besides just hydration, although I guess that should be enough since I can pair it with a serum if I need something else. I could see how this wouldn't be hydrating enough for extremely dry skin, but it works for my dehydrated skin. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful night cream if you have combination skin but still want a 'heavier' night cream.
I am not a fan of my skin feeling oily after applying lotion. It feels creamy and hydrating once you apply, but there’s a a sticky oily feeling that doesn’t go away once it sinks in. Only downside to this cream.
Went on smoothly. Feels silky and light. I'm so happy I tried it. I have combo sensitive skin but, I believe I've finally, found my holy grail. Also, it reminds me of a high end Chanel face moisturizer. Great stuff!
I'm on my second order of this product and am very impressed with how well it moisturizes my very dry skin. I use this at night after washing my face (with cetaphil cleanser), add a few drops of anti aging serum and in the morning my skin is super soft and hydrated. I haven't had any issues with it bothering my somewhat sensitive skin, but I'm sure this will really depend on your individual skin. The only thing I don't like about this product is the packaging, as I prefer not to have to stick my fingers into a product going on my face, but given the price and how well it works, I'm willing to compromise on this.
