Allergic reaction- swollen eyelids
After wearing this mascara for a few hours, both of my upper and lower eyelids become red, painful, and swollen. It is clearly some type of allergic reaction and after doing a few tests, I can confirm it is the mascara since that is the only item that I recently added to my routine and the swollen eyelids do not occur when I use my other regular make up. I buy all my makeup from Clinique because it is fragrance free and hypoallergenic. I find it disappointing that I'm no longer able to wear their mascara. I would like to know if it contains high levels of nickel causing the swelling like what you get with cheap earrings that contain nickel.

Do not buy!
First of all, I have been a loyal Clinique customer for over 35 years and love all of the products until this mascara. I bought this mascara twice, the first time used it I thought it was an old one, it was clumpy and seemed dried up. The second one was the same, clumpy, dry and an impossible to make it look acceptable on my lashes. What a waste of money.

I really need to learn to stop listening to the sales rep…. This stuff clumps sooo bad, looks like spider legs and then falls all over your face as it dries. Terrible. Wish I could get my money back!

Yes, this is my 4 repurchase.
This product works for me as I have blond eyelashes and lhave eye allergy to many mascara products. This one does the try trick. I can have thick long dark lashes and be allergy free. Thank you for carrying this product on your shelf. It's always available and the girls working there are always helpful.

Nice mascara

Flakes off
I got this mascara as a gift, part of a kit with a pink lipstick. This is probably one of the worst mascaras I've used. It flaked off my lashes in a couple of hours and collected on my lower lash line. Even after owning and using it multiple times, it still dispenses a large amount of product on the brush which makes it difficult to get an even layer on the lashes. Usually, mascaras dry out a bit and that makes it easier to apply but not this one. I would not recommend this mascara to anyone. Get the Maybelline bubble mascara or the Loreal Lash Paradise Big Deal for a much better experience and staying power at half the price.

Stays Smooth
This mascara does what it promises, and even after some months of use goes on smoothly. I haven't experienced any clumps or flakes with it. It applies quickly and evenly and makes my lashes look great.

IN LOVE! Rich pigment and buildable
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The formula does not disappoint, I have been a loyal fan of the original Clinique High Impact in Black and I absolutely love the pigmentation and the wand. I am able to get both my top and bottom lashes with the applicator (and continue to build on product to lengthen), and the mascara lasts all day!

This mascara is amazing! It never gets clumpy, goes on easily, and there is zero eye irritation. One coat adds nice volume and length that lasts all day, even in high humidity/high heat. It's also easy to remove. This will be my new go to.

Do not buy this mascara
This mascara is not smudge proof! I only do my top lashes. By the afternoon, it is all over your upper cheek. I have used Clinique for 40 years, ask for an exchange and did not get one. (I ordered this but did not open until recently). I was past the 30 days. You would think 40 years would at least get an exchange!

Formula is nice, but the bristles are coming off of the brus
The formula itself and how it goes on the lashes, as well as the effect of it on the lashes is very nice. The problem is that the bristle brush is disintegrating. Every time I pull the wand out of the bottle, more of the pieces of the bristles are coming off the brush. It's defective, and unfortunately is past the "return by" date for Ulta. Otherwise I'd be returning. I've only had this mascara for maybe 6 months. The brush shouldn't be doing this.
