A: Hmmm. There is (or should be) an electrical cord. They store it in the water tank for shipping, but it should be pretty easy to spot.

Q: How do I set up continuous drainage? I have the hose positioned over the drain but the water bucket still gets full and the machine turns off.

A: Take out the water tank Use a water hose(diameter=9.5mm) to connect the water outlet. Passes the water hose through the cutting hole in the tank and put the tank back. For continuous drainage, the end of the hose should not be submerged in water to prevent it from being blocked or damaged.

Did a nice job
Worked well to dry out a room after a roof leak. The only pain was that I didn’t have anywhere to run the drain hose so I had to empty the tank at least once a day. I supposed that’s a testament to how much moisture it was pulling from the air.

Total Disappointment
Our basement is only 600 square feet and not overly leaky, but this dehumidifier didn’t even remotely keep up. It just ran constantly. Also the water bucket is a mess to pour out. Had to buy another dehumidifier; this one was a total disappointment.

I paid full price. Works amazing. Lucky deal!
Bought it from Target 1.5 years ago and paid almost $200. I love it. Very sleek, efficient, and powerful design. For it’s more compact design, it’s a powerhouse and gets a huge amount of humidity out quickly. It’s so powerful, I don’t need to use it that often so mine has lasted to this day.

Didn't even last one year
Used in a small finished room in basement for less than one year. No longer extracting water...I did not buy the extended warranty and now see the actual warranty with this product is 3 months. Seriously? Bad, Bad Target -- not happy with you at all. If you take a chance on this, you better get extra insurance coverage.

Excellent for our crawl space
The hose is a fantastic option that makes this exactly what we need since we have a drain in our crawl space for the water heater. That way I don't need to keep checking the tank after a rainstorm. Easy to setup, use, and has been running for over a year. I checked humidity with a secondary sensor & the unit's gauge is accurate. Yeah, we really should clear out the crawlspace more, but until that happens I feel better about the things stored there not getting damaged from too much moisture.

Best air purifier
I don’t usually leave reviews but I moved to a state that’s very humid. I never knew how humid it was. I bought a different brand of air purifier and it hardly ever collected any water so I thought maybe it’s not as humid as I thought. I bought this Costaway one and this thing WORKS like a champ and apparently it is very humid where I live. It collects a lot of water and is definitely way better than the other brand I bought. Very happy with this purchase, ended up getting two and when I need more of them (which I will) I will pick up this brand. Highly recommend

Nice Quiet Dehumidifier
The Costway 24 Pint 1500 Sq Ft Dehumidifier works well and is very quiet. The Specs are overstated however: 1) the recommended room size is not 1500 sq ft but 270 sq ft, so much smaller, however it will work in any size room, it just won't lower humidity as fast. And 2) the manual shows the 24 pints/day is if you're at 80% humidity, while at a more usual 50% humidity it is more like 9-10 pints/day (based on my actual measurements), but that's enough for me. I like its quiet motor/fan, that it draws only about 165 watts, and that it is portable, having caster wheels and weighing only 22 pounds. Overall, a very nice small dehumidifier.
