Check the foam!
The mattress is the same material as a foam bed topper. I still wanted to use the mattress, but as soon as I took the cover off to wash before use I was horrified to see black dirt and flattened bugs in the foam. Quickly returned.

I bought this so our daughter has a nicer mattress to sleep on in her portacot when we go away. This exceeded my expectations.
