I have used Covergirl Eye Pencils for years and loved your color Cobalt Blue perfect blend pencil 135 which is no longer available. It complimented my blue eyes. The black and gray colors do not work for me so instead I began using Perfect Point Plus #220, Midnight Blue. I do not find this new pencil as effective as the perfect blend pencil however. Although this new product does not required a sharpener, the following problems have occurred: the crayon does not always advance properly or it advances too much and breaks off losing a lot of the product. With the prior version I always knew how much liner was left so that I could buy a replacement before the liner was completely gone (a problem when traveling.)

I’ve been using this eyeliner for over a decade and it does a good job. I recently used it for a Halloween costume. Note that if you have oily skin like me, it will smudge as the day progresses. That said, it doesn’t irritate my eyes so it works for me still.

When you twist the pencil, the liner does not come out. It just spins and spins but does not move up. I bought it several years ago and was dissatisfied with it because of this problem. I just bought it again not realizing that it was the same one. REALLY UNHAPPY THAT I'M GOING TO HAVE TO THROW AWAY ANOTHER ONE!

Covergirl Perfect Point Plus Liquid Liner applies very smoothly the first time. It does have a good application brush and doesn't smudge. There are two things I am dissatisfied with ; one, this liner does not stay on all day, and two it crumbles rather than smudging when you touch it. It is a decent eyeliner just not for me.

Why can only twist the liner out? If you twist too much out, you can't get it back into the pencil.

I've loved this product for a long time but has the formulation changed recently? The last four I've purchased break easily even with the gentlest pressure. I've wasted three of them and am now on the fourth within weeks that continues to be of inferior quality.
