Burning plastic smell each time we use it

Creates noxious fumes - like burning plastic. Checked for errant packaging stuck in unit but it’s just the toaster itself that is creating the issue.
Still have to flip

Still have to flip the slice to get it evenly toasted. Also, the bread has to be placed dead center or the sides remain untoasted (a traditional bread). I don’t think a toaster on par with the ones from my childhood exist!
Pretty but useless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this toaster. It is very well made, no cheap materials. Browns toast just the way I want it each time. I have found that the dial for browning is accurate and easy to adjust. I have also my toaster for Bagels and English muffins. No issues found? I would certainly buy Cuisinart again.

I was willing to overlook the fact of how cheaply it was made, but after only 3 uses, the lever that drops the toast down would no longer lock in place!! I'm greatly disappointed in this toaster, especially since it was the product name that led me to believe I was getting a good deal!!!! Needless to say, I returned it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just remodeled the kitchen with a quartz counter top so I had to have a new white toaster! We have a stainless Cuisinart toaster for over ten years and it still is perfect! I can always trust Cuisinart products!
Not worth it

When trying to press the toast down levers, they wouldn't stay down any longer. I only used it 3 times before the issue started
Very Cheaply made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 4 sliced toaster two weeks ago, and I’m really enjoying it, no more burnt toast, or my husband have to wait to toast 2 slices at a time. He’s having more fun than I ever saw him fixing breakfast for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a very good toaster. The multiple settings for different bread and toasting situations are great. I've only owned it a short time, so its durability has not been proven. I would make the setting marks on the knobs more obvious to the user. Our first use burnt the toast because we thought is was on 1 but it was on 6.
A little disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter bought this toaster as a birthday present for my husband because he was unhappy with his last one. I am a little disappointed that it doesn’t toast evenly on both sides. One definitely toasts faster than the other.
Nice toaster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this toaster for about a month. It's a nice toaster and after getting used to the differences in controls, we can toast the way we like. I do wish I'd bought the longer slot toaster as my rye bread doesn't fit. toaster half a slice is not ideal.
Not quite sure as to full effectiveness

The only way I can find to actually get toasted is to put it on maximum, which doesn’t seem reasonable

I’ve been using this toaster for about 2 months and it works good. I had an old cuisenart and I liked it, so when one of the elements failed I looked for a new toaster. What I really liked about the old toaster was the ability to raise the bread to remove the toast when done. I also used the bagel button a lot. The new toaster has a better button, that is easier to use than the old recessed button. This is an easier to use feature. The cancel feature is also great.

I bought this toaster in response to an ad I saw in the HuffPost. We had a more expensive brand name toaster, but it was disappointing. The bread would come out only toasted on one side. It was the second toaster in a row we had that problem with. Very annoying. This toaster was half the price and it toasts bread and bagels perfectly. It will also thaw or rewarm. It really is excellent.
