Suggested Improvement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had two Cusinart 4 slice toasters and both performed exceptionally well when using toasting options. The only improvement I would like to see is quality (weight) of toaster as the 2011 model (which is the same). Also, older toaster could be interrupted if toasting getting too dark by pushing up on spring-not so with new model though effectively same model as purchased before.

Not good for homemade bread
This toaster is not as functional as I had hoped. It's fine for store bought bread. But when I toast homemade sourdough bread, which needs a little more time, it pops up untoasted. Then the toaster will not work after the initial toasting. It must be temperature regulated, but it's frustrating, because no matter what I do this toaster does NOT work on homemade bread.

Sadly Disappointed
This toaster was a gift for Christmas last year and it has been the worst toaster we have ever owned. It doesn’t heat up enough to toast an English Muffin correctly and when you push down the lever to toast, it literally takes like 9 try’s to make it stay down to actually start to toast. We have always held Cuisinart to high standards and have always loved their products, but this toaster is an absolute disappointment.

Dsappointed
My 20 year old Cuisanart toaster needed to be replaced. A cleaning service had accidentally spilled water and thus the coils no loger worked properly. I purchased a new one which looked very similar to to the one I had used for years. I am very disappointed. Things are simply not made the way used to be made. The new toaster is very light weight in comparison to the old and seems very tinny. Bread is not evenly browned on both sides. I guess it does the job but who said things are better when they're new?

Not a good purchase
I bought this toaster a month ago. I am disappointed. It does not work as well as my old one. I need to set level 2 1/2 to keep toast from burning The bagel setting doesn’t work and it is hard to get the toasted bread out without a too.

Not good
I have used one like this for years it finally stopped working so I got a new one very disappointed it burns the inside and the outside is hardly brown and when it popped up you have to help it the rest of the way I am going to look for a different Brand

Cheaply made. I purchased this and thought it was a fluke that the handles wouldn’t stay down to actually engage the toaster to turn it on. I exchanged it for the same one, and now after 5 uses, you have to slam the handle down to get it to catch and actually start. It also doesn’t toast evenly; the bottom half burns and the top half is not even warmed.

When you push the levers down, they don’t stick and they just bounce right back up. The lovers will hold your toast down about 20% of the time. Really frustrating to spend $50 on a toaster that doesn’t work.
