Almost perfect
I have had a Cuisinart toaster for years, so wanted another one like it. This one almost matches. The bagel side on this one is a waste. Other one toasted only the cut side. This one does both, so the bagel button is a waste. Other than that, it is a good toaster so far.

Half Toast
I puchased this toaster becase of the cuisinart name. My previous toaster was a cuisinart which I had for 30 yrs, therefore I was Mistakingly expecting a quality toaster. In use less than a month and now only the bottom half of the bread toasts. I guess im stuck with it for now, researching a replacement.

Poor quality
The toasting is very uneven. One side of the bread is very dark and the other is barely toasted. Many reviewers have said the same thing. I do not recommend this toaster. I don't understand why Cuisinart would endanger its reputation by producing an item that performs so poorly. . Unfortunately this seems to be a common theme among all toasters.

Cuisinart Compact 4 slice toaster
I like the toaster because it has features such as toasting bread, bagels, etc. However, when I toast bread I have to toast the slices on the left side twice. So I am undecided if I want to keep it or not.

Smells like it burning
Not happy with this toaster I used it twice and both times it smells like something is burning when in use. I used to have the stainless steel one , but bought this one instead and that was a big mistake!

Great toaster
I find the “handles” very useful because you can lift them up and it helps get the toast out of the toaster. I also appreciate separate buttons for a bagel and to cancel or abort the toasting process.

Get it if you like barely toasted toast.
Every single slot, one side toasts better than the other. The handles/levers are flimsy and one side, when I press it down (and it stays down, which is finicky) there's a small spark inside, which makes me nervous. Also, On the highest setting (7) Toast is BARELY toasted. I usually have to put it back down. It bought it because it was wirecutter's top pick, but goodness, they've never missed the mark so poorly. I would not recommend this toaster to anyone.

Easy to use

AMAZED AT THE SPEED AND HOW EVENLY THIS TOASTS
After using a 2-slice toaster that took what seemed like forever to toast anything, we were amazed at how fast and how beautifully our Cuisinart toasts. The bread comes out evenly toasted, and it's easy to choose the degree of brownness we desire. Another feature we appreciate is the ability to stop the process to check the toast, AND we can raise the toast so that we no longer need tongs to lift it out. WISH WE HAD BOUGHT THIS YEARS AGO!

Not as good as our previous Cuisinart toaster
This is a replacement for a previous cuisinart 4 slice toaster. Most functions are the same, but the mechanism for settings is not as fancy as our last toaster. This has dials vs. buttons, no lights on settings face, and no tone at the end of the toasting cycle. Very basic, but after 5 weeks, it is doing an adequate job.
