Q: First the details state that this has a “ceramic nonstick” surface, but elsewhere it just says “nonstick”. I’m wondering which is correct for the grilling surface. To me it doesn’t look like ceramic, but I am hopeful that it is.

Unboxed this waffle maker and it seemed very cheap and poorly put together. It didn’t seem to sit on counter evenly and the top seemed loose. Plugged it in and it heated up but when tried making the first waffle it simply died. It doesn’t heat up at all and now a mess with wet waffle mix in it. This is being returned.
Disappointing even at the price point.

Produces waffles that are raw on the edges which quickly changes to a burned ring. The very center was pretty good. Intended for counter-top use, it gets hot enough on the outside to quickly inflict 3rd degree burns when inadvertently brushed. You'd be better off making pancakes.

We are enjoying this new waffle iron. It’s smaller than previous ones, but the serving size is about perfect. It heats up vary quickly and has multiple settings. I think we will try letting ours cook a bit longer next time for a bit more crunch. It’s really nice that it can be stored vertically in the cabinet too. I like saving space. The shiny silver finish looks nice with our appliances and so far we’re really happy with our purchase.

Makes great waffles but not "convenient". Can't properly clean as plates arent removable....good for people that dont mind being dirty...bad for everyone else.
