Q: Do you have to pre-freeze the bowl
A: Hi Nisisi - yes, you need to freeze the bowl prior to use. It's recommended you freeze the bowl for 12 to 24 hours prior to use. To determine whether the bowl is completely frozen, shake it. If you do not hear liquid moving, the cooling liquid is frozen

Q: has anyone ever put DIET SODA in this machine? does it get slushy at all?
A: Hi Kat, yes you can make slushies in this machine! You can use the recipe below or create your own take on it too. Preparation: 5 minutes or less; 15 – 20 minutes; plus 15 - 20 minutes chilling time. 4 cups cola or other soda, lemonade, cranberry juice, white grape juice, Kool-Aid®, chilled * 1. Turn the machine ON, pour soda into freezer bowl and let mix until thick and slushy, about 15 to 20 minutes. 2. Serve immediately, or if desired, transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer. Remove from freezer at least 20 minutes before serving. * Do not use sugar free products to make slushies.

Q: How do you know which setting to chose if you're making ice cream instead of yogurt or sorbet?
A: Hi! There is only one setting to make either Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt/Sorbet. Thanks!

Q: Does this require ice and salt?
A: No. It has a freezer bowl that you need to keep in the freezer for at least 8 hours before making the ice cream. Longer than 8 hours is even better.
