A: You can substitute unsweetened oat milk for milk (1:1), unsweetened coconut cream for heavy cream (1:1), and vegan cream cheese for cream cheese (1:1). Make sure to use unsweetened substitutes and to whisk any coconut cream by itself before using it as a substitute. We do not recommend other dairy substitutions unless specifically called out in the recipe.

I bought Ninja Cremi a month ago and am so disappointed! In order to actually have a satisfactory “creamy” consistency to any of the Ninja Cremi recipes from the recipe booklet included with this machine, and after having frozen the preparation for the required 24 hours, and making certain the mixture was not above the maximum fill line on the Nina pint containers and that the mixture was level, it took three to four processing times to do this! This machine is also very noisy and none of my family was able to even hold a conversation while the Cremi was in operation. The texture of the ice cream after one or two processing sessions was still partially granular and the bottom half of the pint was not even processed! I had given a neighbour a pint of strawberry ice cream made in the Ninja Cremi, and as I discovered, you must have this machine on hand to re-process each and every time you remove a full pint or a partial pint from the freezer! Not like commercial ice cream that remains creamy in the freezer upon serving some and keeping any remaining servings in the freezer! A big disappointment for my neighbour and an embarrassment and a bigger disappointment for me! I had bought this machine for two reasons: to treat my twin granddaughters to homemade ice cream with wholesome ingredients and to make low-sugar ice cream for my diabetic husband. This machine is more trouble than its worth! I can buy a good amount of both dietetic ice cream and regular ice cream, such as Chapmans Canadian ice cream for the price of the Ninja Cremi! I returned the Ninja Cremi to the store from whence it came.

Loving this - new to the machine and have only made the vanilla and chocolate. Did not follow the recipe for the chocolate and did a vanilla plus addition. Found it interesting that cream cheese is used - turns out a really good ice cream (and I thought only Bryer's was natural). Plan on experimenting with the other recipes soon. Really easy to operate and clean - a happy camper!

Extremely disappointed. I bought this machine 2 years ago. It worked great. It just started flashing an install light, I called ninja and they said they can’t do anything about it and I had to pay for a new one. For how expensive this is and clearly it is a mechanical issue the fact that they won’t replace it is insane.

I bought this to make "healthier" versions of my favorite ice cream. I toss in a protein shake and some fruit and I have a guilt free frozen treat. It is a little loud and does take some prep but I think its totally worth it.

Very disappointed!! I have had this machine a little over a year !! It started to scrape the inside of the plastic container. Leaving shaved plastic in the ice cream ! I didn’t notice it and I’m afraid I ate some of the plastic . So I made another container of ice cream the same thing small pieces of shaved plastic!! I am looking online finding out this model has the same problem issue!! I called Ninja all they told me they are sorry it was over a year ago , that they would give me a discount on a new Creami … But please tell me is this machine going to do this again! So Ninja only guarantees it for a year. So why would I buy another machine, afraid it will do it again. I guess a person has to purchase one every year. Which is crazy . Very worried that I ate some of the shaved plastic .

I have been wanting a Ninja Creami for a long time and finally caved and bought this one. It worked great and as expected. It has many different options and I have yet to even try them all, but the stuff I have made has been so simple and delicious. The only issue I have with this product is just the noise. The machine is very loud and living in an apartment I am worried every-time I use it that everyone can hear it. Besides that, this machine has been great and works amazing. Its quality is good and it is simple to clean and make any type of frozen treat!

This was NOT worth the money. Way overhyped. The ice cream comes out icy and the mix in feature doesn’t do a great job. It’s SUPER loud and takes awhile to complete the whole process. Honestly a fun thing once in a blue moon but I returned it. I will say I love ninja products but this one was a miss! I will say it is definitely compact so that’s why I gave it one star.

Ok, the machine works, but I am wondering for how long. It is very hard to get the blending canister to lock in place, and even harder getting it to release. The machine shakes so hard, the blade is very loose and some batches it gets a "hot" smell like the mechanics are burning. Maybe I go a dud? I am familiar with the machine and I know others who have it, have used theirs at gatherings, and not had the same issues. I didn't open it right away so returning or exchanging it isn't an option. I love all of my other ninja products so have stuck with their line, but I am not happy with this one.

It is so incredibly loud that I am not comfortable using it in an apartment. It sounds like a power saw, and it is not a quick process to prep for the ice cream then make it. You must prep your mix 24 hours in advance, so plan for your cravings. If the machine was quick with the loud noise maybe it would be okay, but it takes an extended period of time and often needs to be respun. Don’t do it.

I freaking loved this thing. Everytime I use it, it smokes and the blade flies off into the pint and shards of metal come off the blade. This is incredibly dangerous and Ninja refuses to replace. Ninja says this is my fault because my pints are not level enough but there are no fruit solids, I set them flat in the freezer and as I have no control over how liquid sets when it is frozen. They are trying to wash their hands of a common, known, dangerous design flaw. I own 3 NInja appliances and will never buy another.
