Q: How do you clean the soft serve mechanism?

A: Swirl press, and paddle are top-rack dishwasher safe. Ensure the paddle, swirl pint, outer bowl, and lids are all separated before placing them in the dishwasher. To clean the swirl press first remove the dispense lid as ingredients may be stuck under the swirl press. Then run warm water through the Swirl Press release lever and out the drain holes on either side.

Q: Does it freeze the ice cream too or do you need to put parts in your own freezer like cheaper models?

A: This unit will not freeze the mixes. However, it is designed to process bases that are frozen between 9°F and -7°F.

I love this ice cream machine so much. I had just purchased this previous model less than a year ago right before this came out. As soon as it came out, I knew I had to have it. I rehomed the other and bought this and I am in love. I make protein ice cream and I love that this has the option to make soft serve. I wish the contianers were as big as the previous model but it’s enough for 1 (or 2 small servings).

Well the votes are in and my grandchildren can't get enough of my Ninja Swirl. They love all of the different functions, ice cream both scoop and swirl are huge favorites for them. The recipes are endless and so fun to experiment with, I also love how we control what goes into what ever we make. Very happy with this purchase, summer is ahead and it will be used lots.

( you do have to wait 24hours to freeze mixture) this creami makes soft serve ice cream like the new England areas! I haven't had ice cream like this since I was a kid. The noise isn't bad for an ice cream maker since there isn't ice turning and banging. I'm highly impressed with the ninja cremai and am a hug3 ninja kitchen products fan. Ninja is well worth the money and highly recommend

I'm really enjoying this gift from my kids! I bought extra containers so I can make more than two pints at a time. So far, the ice cream recipes have been fabulous. I’ve made chocolate, vanilla (using vanilla bean paste), and coffee flavors. I also froze a vegan cashew coconut yogurt for a healthier snack.

I don't love it and am returning it. It worked well the first time, but I'm one person and won't eat the whole pint at once. It was bad the second time after I refroze the half that was left - it wouldn't dispense, then the dispenser lid was stuck, the lid is so wide I couldn't remove it (small hands), and I decided to return it right away. It's a nice idea but I think the design could be better, especially on the dispensing lid. Maybe fine if you have enough people to eat it all at once.

In the instances you don't finish the pint after the first process, ensure the base of the Swirl Pint is closed and any ice cream is rinsed out from the nozzle cavity. Once done, flatten the top of your frozen treat with a spoon or spatula and place the storage lid on top of the pint before refreezing. If the treat is hard after re-freezing, process it again on the program used to make it the first time. If it’s soft, just scoop and enjoy it. The Machine works as designed and was pretty simple to operate. The only complaint I have is the small capacity of the containers to make soft serve ice cream. When full the container was only able to make 2 1/2 small cones.

I love using the Ninja Creami and the results so far have been good. I tried the protein shake option and it came out pretty good, as well as with a bulk-packaged soft scoop mix - yummy. There are lots of fun ideas in the recipe book which I am looking forward to trying, and the instructions for using the machine are clear and easy to follow. Clean up is easy since everything can go in the dishwasher. The only negative is that it's very loud when running.

The machine is nice and makes great ice cream I’m impressed… I would make cups with an easy pull divider so people can make two flavors at once… Like a chocolate vanilla swirl at the same time… or you can make cups with a permanent divider and update the extractor to accommodate the new cups.. Either way the machine isn’t perfect but it does its job…
