Please make sure to freeze the cooling bowl upright for at least 24 hours in a freezer that is 0 degrees or below. Chill your ingredients/mix in the refrigerator or the freezer to cool it down will help with the cooling process in the bowl. For best results, pour your ice cream mixture through the food chute while the motor is running. When you continue to churn the ice cream the mug is most effective in the first 20 minutes.     perfect little maker

    Love this little machine! It makes the perfect amount of ice cream for one person. (I have it for 2 nights.) I have a lot of food allergies so it is so nice to know what is being put into my food. I haven't had ice cream for years so this is a real treat. Works in about 25 minutes. I added mix ins the last few minutes. I put in other small containers and stored in the freezer for a few hours and it was perfect! Love this machine and Dash products!

    Trash product

    This is not what everyone’s positive reviews are like. It’s very slow and very little qty. I put the bowl to chill for more than 24 hours and churned for 40-50 mins and still no luck. After freezing the ice cream it was more crystallized than my nutribullet ice cream. Definitely going back

    Creamy ice cream

    The ice cream was creamy. Tried a basic vanilla recipe and the heavy cream froze at a different rate than the milk so it was a bit chunky. Upgraded to some mix ins...hoping for better results

    Works pretty good for a small, simple design

    It's a nice little machine, but it doesn't make very much ice cream at one time (only about a cup or so). The mixing blades are just soft plastic and thin, so they don't incorporate much air into the ice cream, giving the resulting dessert a dense but still creamy result after firming up in the freezer. The most disappointing aspect is that the ingredient chute where you pour your ice cream base is very small. The first batch I made used a thick creamy banana ice cream base and it was difficult to pour into the machine. I guess if you stick with the simple recipes that come with the machine, you might be OK. But, my first batch came out pretty good and I look forward to trying other new recipes.

    This little machine forces one to slow down and appreciate what goes into good ice cream/sorbet. It becomes a ritual almost. The long drawnn out process of putting ingredients together and then waiting.... It makes one slow down and enjoy.
