Q: May I ask why every recjipe calls for cottage cheese? Is it totally neccessary? Is there a substitute or can it be eliminated? I was ready to use it today and eagerly searched the recipes. None were without cottage cheese.

For freezing, arrange cooled bites on a baking sheet to freeze individually, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. To reheat, microwave refrigerated bites for 10-15 seconds; if frozen, thaw overnight in the refrigerator before microwaving for 10-15 seconds. Q: What is the volume for the cups? "Up to 12g protien" seems low, with 2 extra large eggs having more than that.

A: The small silicon egg cups are 2" in diameter and 1" deep. The volume of 1 egg cup is 1.3 oz or 3 Tbsp. I hope this helps!

I just bought this yesterday 8/8/25 and couldn’t wait to give it a try. I thought there may be a learning curve to it because as someone in the reviews said, my eggs came out looking like “hats”, but no matter what I tried, they didn’t come out fine. I filled the cup 3/4 full, nope, 1/2, nope. Nothing worked. I wanted this to be a quick and relatively safe way for my 14 year old to make herself breakfast and be more hands on in the kitchen when I’m away at work but it’s not effective. Plus it kind of smells and leaves a weird aftertaste. Will clean to return, I’ll just have to make a large badge of them in my oven and have her air fry them herself.

I used this for everything, at least once a day. I never put metal or scraped it or scrubbing sponges. The non-stick just starts to bubble and come off after being used a bunch. I would use this for years if only it would last that long.

I got my egg bite maker from a Value Village, actually, it came with all 4 egg bite makers, and it was only 6 bucks! I honestly don't know why someone would get rid of it.I am 19 and physically disabled and also in a wheelchair, so for me to be at the stove is both unsafe and very tiring, because I can't see inside pans and pots properly, and it's hard for me to sit upright for so long. I bought the egg bite maker yesterday, perfect condition, and I cleaned it up and I have it in my room so I can lie down every once in a while to manage my pain, and it also doesn't get so hot that it's going to burn things easily!! Before I got disabled, I loved cooking, and so this has given me so much of my independence back. I have made a grilled cheese in it, and I also made scrambled eggs with cheese, and hashbrowns!! I go to my 2nd year of uni in September, so it definitely will be coming with me. I am gonna be on the lookout for more DASH products in thrift stores because they are absolutely amazing :))) The products aren't even expensive, I just can't get a job to be able to afford full price things, thank you DASH for the most incredible product ever!!!

I bought one of these on a whim last year when they were on sale and I literally use it every day. I sprinkle precooked real bacon bits and then break (up to 4) eggs over them and they cook really fast. You don't even have to wait for it to preheat! I don't use the "egg bite" molds because they're another thing to wash and they're kind of annoying anyway. But I've made pancakes in it (it takes a while but they get super fluffy)! And you can make grilled sandwiches in it too (GF tiny bread for the win)

Doesn’t cook evenly. These are also smaller than the popular coffee shop egg bites. Probably better just to use muffin pans. Save your money!
