Best Little Grill

I just bought a Flex Press Grill System at a Veteran's Hospital store the VCS - PatriotStore, the grill is a New Year's gift to myself and it's I deal for two people. The best part is that it comes with four removal nonstick plates.

I hate it

I hate it. I really do. When we start with the item being shipped in its original packaging with no additional box for protection. The box visibly damaged from being dropped… probably not once. I am wondering if it’s even safe to use it now that it has been dropped. Right out of the box something chips but not sure what. And then the grill itself smells very overwhelmingly of chemicals. We all know that non-stick cover is not healthy and considering that after a few days of using and washing it is still smells of chemicals… The grilling temperature is not very strong. It takes five minutes at least to toast two slices of sourdough bread and the top griddle doesn’t warm and grill the same as the lower one. Technically mostly the lower griddle cooks. I truly hate this product and I miss my old Cuisinart but right now I can’t afford $150 for a new Cuisinart.

A little expansive for the size

I like that the parts inside can be replaced and washed. I don't like it that you have to oil it every single time when you make waffles for example. The kitchen counter gets oily when you spray and it drops from the upper lid part. If you don't oil it the waffles stick on it. Should be made of a material which is nonstick.

Great apt or tiny home appliance

The plate are very light weight aluminum. So the entire system is very light weight. Purchased extra plates, giving me a panini grill, a waffle maker and a pancake grill. Good size for two decent sized burgers at the same time. Decent sized waffles.

Versatile for small spaces!

I got this for my birthday so my toddler and I could make some delicious meals together easily in our small apartment! My only knock is they dont sell it as a griddle/ waffle combo which is what I wanted and had to buy an exta piece in a small space.

Economical Indoor Grill

The grill works great and is so easy to clean by removing the plates to rinse by hand. So far, the food never sticks. I like the fact I can switch up the grill plates for the included plain ones, and can recline the top for an open grill. The closed version is what i use mostly for the panini press.

Very well made and thought out. Nice and compact, and the perfect size for one person or 2. The interchangeable, removable grill, waffle and griddle plates eliminates the need for multiple appliances. and make cleanup so easy . Great for home and camping. (A carry case for it and the plates would be great.)
