A Great Value & Compact Sandwich Maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the sandwich maker's style and design. It is compact, which helps in my small kitchen, and I use it regularly. It has a solid construction and heats up in six minutes. The drip pan is designed to be stored at the bottom of the unit, which is convenient because it does not have to be stored separately. I use an olive oil spray to coat the grill plates; however, when making panini sandwiches, I find that there needs to be more oil on the bread than what is sprayed on the grill plates. I don't like that it doesn't have an on/off switch. It isn't very convenient to constantly plug it in or unplug it. A switch would be much handier. There is a light that indicates "preheating" and "ready." I go by the six minutes mentioned in the directions and assume it is ready. The sandwiches turn out great. My favorite things to make with this sandwich maker are veggies and cheese. The unit melts the cheese very well. The grill plates are such that you can grill one sandwich at a time. Overall, I think this is a valuable kitchen asset. The sandwiches turn out very well and tasty.

Great little sandwich press
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my Hamilton Beach Grill & Sandwich Maker! It heats up quickly and cooks evenly, making it perfect for a fast lunch or an easy dinner. It’s especially great for smaller sandwiches — they come out perfectly toasted with nice grill marks. Cleanup is simple, and it doesn’t take up much counter space. If you’re looking for a compact grill that’s easy to use and works great for lighter meals, this one’s a solid choice.

Durable and Energy Saving
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my new sandwich maker and grill from Hamilton Beach. It is the perfect size for one, or two people. It's compact size makes it easy to store in the cabinet when not in use. It's lightweight. It is a great deal for the money. Very affordable. I use it to cook burgers, pork chops, chicken, and sandwiches. It is versatile. There is a drip container that conveniently slides underneath the unit when not in use. It cooks quickly, without making a mess, or heating up the entire kitchen by using the stove. Clean up is a breeze. I haven't had anything stick. Food cooks, and slides right off. This little workhorse has by far exceeded my expectations.

Super simple and fast for quick and easy meals.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill and sandwich maker is amazing. It makes a grilled cheese in under 2 minutes. It perfectly browns the outside without any additional butter or oil. It heats up fast and evenly. The outside doesnt get as hot to the touch as some others and it is super simple to use. There is a light that tells you it is on and it is simply plug in and use. I love it.

Great small addition to the countertop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this for 2 weeks now and it has performed great. It heats up super fast. It normally takes me 5 minute to heat up a sandwich, croissant, hawaiian roll, slice of bread. I haven’t tried to actually cook a meal with it but I think it will work well. I like the drop pan at the bottom too to catch the excess oils / debris

Picture is bigger then the actual product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is extremely small. Perfect for if you are going camping or have a real small place to cook. Its to lightweight, feels cheap. Can't really fit a patty. If you have a family or feeding more than two, this is a pass. To me its like a toy because your patties will not fit very well and forget it if your cooking poultry. HB has good products, but this is not one of them.

Small but versatile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this small appliance for my husband and I for making quick snacks and sandwiches. He asked me to make burgers on it and I discovered that they can't be to thick. Inused previously frozen burger and it releases a lot of juices. I had to empty the grease tray multiple times. The burgers turned out great. I also tried to make a cheese quesadilla, but it was to thin for the grill. The non stick surface is awesome and easy to clean. I still want to make a sandwich on it like maybe grilled cheese or a panini. Great size for dorm rooms.

Nice, but small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little griddle, but way smaller that I was thinking it was. It measures 8 inches wide x 4.5 inches deep (in the middle) I've been using primarily as a sandwich maker. The hinge allows to backside of the top to be more elevated does not open but about 1/2 inch at the most. This does not allow a regular sized Hogie bun to be placed in the sandwich maker. When you put one in it wants to be pushed out the front of the unit. The sandwiches were cooked decently but required a lot of rotation and holding/pushing them in place. The size can be seen in one of the pictures. That is a piece of regular sandwich bread in the photo. The unit does have 'drippings' catcher that stores nicely under the unit. It also cleans up few easily. If you were making something thin or small I believe this would be good product, but for me and what I wanted to use it for it did not fit my needs. I would not be able to recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were excited to try this sandwich/grill maker. After using it for the fiorst we were greatly disappointed. Mu husband wanted a panini sandwich so he made one. We heated the grill as the directions dated. The grill heated up quickly. He put his sandwich on the grill and tried to put the top down. The hinges don't float so the top really did not stay on the sandwich. The tilt of the grill caused the sandwich to continuely slide forward. He had to turn the sandwich several times in order for it to grill on both sides. It took 11 minutes for the sandwich to toast and the cheese to melt. The sandwich consisted of 2 slices of whole bread, slice of ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, onion, tomato with spicy mayo.

Loving this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice combination grill and sandwich maker. I love how compact it is, as counterspace is always a premium for me. It heats up quickly and just is so simple to use. It gives sandwiches a nice crunch on the outside while making the inside ingredients warm and tender. The nonstick griddle surface makes it simple to clean, and the little grease catcher at the bottom is simple to remove for washing. I think this would be a great addition to your small appliances and would also make a terrific gift. I highly recommend it.

Small and amazing!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Kitchen Collection by Hamilton Beach Grill & Sandwich Maker for a few weeks now, and it’s quickly become a go-to in my kitchen. It’s super easy to use—just layer your ingredients, close the lid, and in a few minutes you’ve got a hot, melty sandwich that tastes like something from a diner. Cleanup is painless thanks to the non-stick plates, and it doesn’t take up much counter space, which is a win. It’s perfect for quick breakfasts or late-night snacks, especially if you’re juggling a busy schedule. Definitely worth it for the price.

Hamilton Beach Grill and Sandwich Maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hamilton Beach Grill and Sandwich Maker Since I ordered this online, when it arrived I was surprised at the small size. It might be good for cooking for one person, depending on the food being prepared. I was glad to see a paper booklet included with the product. It has instructions for use and cleaning, as well as soe ideas for foods to try in the grill and cook times. I did put this on a protective mat, since I wasn’t sure how hot the outside of the grill would get. To pre-heat the grill, you plug it in. There’s no temperature control. There’s nothing to indicate that the grill is finished pre-heating. There’s just a light that shows “on”. I made a grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich did not fit in the grill. The top and bottom plates are designed to fit together, so there’s no room for the sandwich bread and fillings! When I closed the grill, the sandwich was pushed out the front. As the sandwich heated, butter leaked out the front of the grill onto the mat. There is a drip tray that slides under the grill, but there’s no “exit trough” from the grill into the drip pan. The only place is through the front of the grill, between the plates and onto the counter. The grates are not removable, so I had to wait until it cooled to clean the grill. And since the butter had melted and leaked out the front, there was some cleanup of the outside of the grill to be done also. There’s not much I can think of to use this little appliance for. It’s so small and even a sandwich doesn’t fit in it.
