The new scent is absolutely terrible!!! I have used Blue Dawn for years and not just for dishes, it is great for cleaning and laundry stains. Due to this absolutely horrible new scent I will no longer be purchasing Dawn. Aside from getting a headache it leaves a disgusting taste on your dishes. I have no idea what your were thinking when you reuined a great product.

Our products are tested to be safe when used as directed, and your safety is our highest priority. Because the scent is causing you to experience headaches, we recommend that you discontinue use of this fragrance. We're slso sorry you're finding a taste left behind on your dishes. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, this is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and items made of cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. For best results, we recommend that you do not soak porous items; wash immediately and rinse thoroughly. Also, you can soak any affected items in water with white vinegar added to remove any residue. Your loyalty is appreciated, and we hope you'll consider trying another version such as our Dawn Free & Clear EZ-Squeeze Fragrance-Free dish soap. I love that they made a soap that’s always ready to squeeze out, no more waiting for it to get to the bottom. I don't have any issues with leaking on the counter and appears to last longer than the normal bottle. Works great, and great value for your money. Definitely recommend!

I can't think of the last time I used a dish soap other than Dawn. Unfortunately, I'll now be looking for a new product. Like most of the posts here, I cannot stand the new scent. Not only do I not like the fragrance, it actually gives me a headache. I have no idea what led the brand team to make the change. Also - very strange that most of the reviews are negative - except from the ones from influenster.com, which are obviously being used to skew the reviews. Sad.

There is no other scent of dish soap that I love more than the original Dawn. It brings me back to going to my Aunt's Lake house. We were a Palmolive family and she always used Dawn. I can't begin to say how devastated I was the first time I did dishes and realized the scent had changed.

I absolutely love Dawn Squeeze Dish Soap! I posted two pictures to show how well it works—the first picture shows the soap on my dishes, and the second picture is literally just me rinsing it off without even scrubbing. The grease and mess came right off with almost no effort. It’s super concentrated, so you only need a little bit, and I really like the squeeze bottle design—it makes it so much easier and less messy than regular dish soap bottles. This has honestly made doing dishes so much faster and easier. Highly recommend this soap to anyone who wants powerful cleaning without all the scrubbing!

I used to love dawn and used it for many different cleaning purposes. Since the scent change, I can no longer use it since it smells like headache. It's too bad and I hope they actually take the feedback from so many disappointed customers and find a way to recreate the original scent, or something similar. It's not that the original scent was so fantastic, it's just that it smelled basic like soap instead of want to be air freshener that has no place on dishes.

The new scent has made it near impossible for me to use it. It is so strong and gives me a headache. Then I’m unable to get it off my hands. I hope you can go back to the original scent or come out with “ Classic Dawn” for those of us that are finding it difficult to use the current Dawn.

Dawn dish soap is My absolute favorite dish soap. It is the only brand that I use. It has a clean smell to it and it does a fantastic job on getting the dishes clean and removing any grease. It is reasonably priced and is safe to use on anything.
Once you purchase, you’ll never switch dish soaps!

Been using this soap for years! Whenever it runs out, I buy a refill bottle which saves me money and lasts quite a long time. Works like a charm, you’d be silly not to make this your trusted product for dishes.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. The new scent is horrible. It triggered a migraine because it is overwhelming strong and doesn't rinse off. Awful decision by P&G to change a long-time favorite. You should have learned from New Coke to leave an icon alone. First time in my life that I had to buy something other than Dawn and as long as this is their "New Dawn", I will never buy your product again.

The new scent that replaced original Dawn gave me an immediate headache and it has made my entire house reek!!! Plus there was NO warning on the label that anything had changed. No new and (not) improved so I could have avoided the not so fun surprise. If anyone reading this is thinking about using this, avoid it at all cost. Please change it back to the original scent or you have lost a lifelong customer!
