Description
The cordless Dyson Gen5outsize has the suction power of a corded vacuum.¹ It has HEPA filtration for our deepest, most hygienic clean. It's engineered with the larger size, power, intelligence, and additional run time to deep clean larger spaces. It has a 25% wider cleaner head and 150% larger bin compared to the Dyson Gen5detect, as well as twice the run time. The Dyson Gen5outsize covers more floor with each pass and allows for more cleaning between bin emptying and charges. It intelligently optimizes suction power based on floor type and debris picked up.⁵ The LCD screen indicates when to keep cleaning an area and when to move on. The Fluffy Optic™ cleaner head reveals invisible dust on hard floors. The extra wide de-tangling Digital Motorbar™ XL cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors without tangles. The machine is Dyson quality. But be careful with the website. As you read the options in the stick vacs the price keeps changing. I received a Gen5 detect but paid the price for the outsize with an extra battery. I was unable to return the product due to website glitches.

The hoover is completely different compared to our old Dyson a lot better the way the speed adjustment on auto is brilliant for making the battery last with the same performance the different heads that came with it make cleaning the house after our dog a lot easier I would highly recommend

Not really that impressed. I have a cheaper one which was great but the battery kept failing so decided to get the Gen5. It doesn't work that well on all carpets or my tiled floor. Really disappointed especially as I spent so much money. Wish I hadn't bothered. The best thing was the stand I got free.

This is the best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever owned. It has easy attachments, 70 minutes battery on eco, less if auto or boost is used. Filtration and emptying is so easy, excellent manoeuvrability, and the performance is brilliant, especially the green light on the hard floor brush and not heavy. Downside, it is pricey. But so easy.

About one month old. Filtration is great, 100%. Battery life is shorter than expected, Im considering a second battery. I like the mount with integrated charging but it doesn't fit enough accessories. Expensive. Suction is very good when on high but drastically affects battery life. This is my first battery powered unit as my old Dyson Ball died

The revised power button versus the switch have advantages but also disadvantages. The new power button allows the machine to run without the need to hold it continuously however, this will result in greater power usage. Another advantage is that the previous design has a faulty switch that breaks over time. Perhaps the Gen5 solves this issue. The machine is heavier than previous versions, so take note!

I’m really delighted with my gen5detect Dyson Being cordless it is a treat to zip about the house and I’m having no trouble with the battery life as you can choose the power you need. The engineering and design is excellent and so good not to need bags. I was a bit undecided when I bought it at first because of the price but now I’m hooked and delighted with it!
