A: You may use this as your only product to remove your makeup and then rinse off. If you prefer to double cleanse, you may follow up with cleanser.
submitted bythe elfcareteam - 4 months agoA: You don’t technically NEED to, but please use a facial cleanser after you rinse this off. Your skin will feel much better not to mention cleaner. Using just this and no face wash after will cause you to breakout I can guarantee.

A: I have used this for about 2ish years now and each container lasts me around 2-3 months even if I use it daily. You don’t need more than a pea sized amount, a little more if your makeup is super heavy.

A: It does temporarily if you don't rinse well enough, but if you rinse thoroughly or follow up with another cleanser in your routine it immediately goes away.

Q: Does this remove waterproof mascara & eyeliner? - but does NOT dry the skin? I had used the Neutrogena makeup remover for waterproof makeup, and it dried out the skin around my eyes, it was horrible.

This product worked pretty well for taking off my makeup. However about 2-3 weeks after purchasing it, I noticed it had a mildew smell inside. I had been very careful to only use the little scoop provided and always put it back the way it came. Unfortunately I won’t be purchasing again and will have to throw it away.

It’s balmy and feels cleansing and doesn’t leave a residue after you rinse it off, but make sure your eyes are closed or don’t put it next to your eyes because it causes irritation. I’ll repurchase it and just use micellar water to remove makeup from my eyes.

i bought this in december and i've still got about 1/3rd of the product left in may even despite using it everyday. i think i can make it last until july or at least late june, so at minimum i'll get 6 months of use out of this makeup remover. doesn't break me out nor leaves my skin feeling overly dry afterwards. man i love elf

It’s good for getting makeup off, but even though it says you can use it on eye makeup, you probably shouldn’t. It really irritates that area even if you don’t get it in your eyes. Other than that it is good

It does have a slight smell, but it doesn’t linger after rinsing the product off. You do need an additional cleanser after, as this does leave a residue on the skin. I wish the container was bigger, because I feel like I will go through this product quickly!

It's super easy to just use a makeup wipe after applying. I love how it isn't dripping oil or separating! Also you don't need a huge amount. The scoop keeps things neat and clean!

This balm is the only cleanser that's really saved my skin. It's lightweight, buttery soft and not greasy. When washing off, it turns into a milk that is easy to remove. The scent is quite faint but peachy 🍑 Honestly, I adore the whole Holy Hydration range and the packaging is beautiful IMO. My bathroom products are now only in ELF blue! 🩵

The cleansing balm is creamy, and when applied to my skin, it feels soft and moisturizing. My skin feels clean and refreshed afterward, ready for serums and a moisturer. This balm was one of the first ones I ever tried and being an avid user of waterproof mascara, this melted all of my makeup including the mascara off. The jar is quite small and I've noticed a jumbo size is available but it's on the pricey end compared to higher end products. I have used this on holiday and it's really convenient to have. I'd give it 4 out 5 only loosing by 1 star because of the size of the jar.

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to share my experience of using this product, I purchased this make up removing balm on the recommendation from my daughter and from the very first use I was hooked!!!! I'm a mature woman with oily skin, open pores and regular break-outs who wears make up almost every day and this product is divine!!! It really does melt away your make-up including mascara, leaving very little to no traces behind, and leaves your skin feeling so soft. I use it in conjunction with the daily cleanser face wash and my skin has never felt or looked better or clearer. I have repurchased this product many times and have recommended it to my teenage granddaughters. I won't ever be without it now!!!

It does work and it is effective, however, naturally as it is a cleansing bomb it is a bit greasy and I find it hard to remove with just water alone. It’s easier to use a warm cloth on its own. It is not enough to feel cleanse, but it does help to remove make up and does not have an awful scent. The texture is not bothersome. It’s kind of like lard to be honest lol but maybe that will bother you overall I like the product it’s very affordable and it’s better than using make up wipes.

Despite this, I find it to be an affordable and effective product for makeup removal, and I think it would work great as part of a double cleansing routine, especially when followed by a gentle water-based cleanser.
