Ember Mug² Temperature Control Smart Mug 10oz

Mug never worked correctly. App is incredibly unstable and without connection to mug, the whole thing is worthless. Gave up and threw it out after an hour of troubleshooting. Maybe a future version will work.

Tech lover and was super excited for this. After a few months I find the performance for the cost isn't worth it. I like hot coffee so turn I keep it it all the way up at 145. Lasts maybe 45 minutes off the charger. Randomly won't charge, or disconnects. The app is an overkill solution since I just want to set it once and forget it, so ultimately it's been more work than it's worth by far. I'm all for apps, but I don't want to log in for my coffee. A good thermos does as well, although without the benefit of a mug form factor. Disappointed because it seems like a great idea but ultimately doesn't deliver.

Love it! However, don’t use creamer if it takes you a bit to drink a cup. I wasn’t thinking and it took me a moment to figure out why it tasted like it did an hour in 😂

I love my Ember Mug and have recommended it to my family and friends. Once you’re used to it, it’s hard to go back to a normal mug. Unfortunately, I’ve had issues with the charging plate. There’s two little pins that need to make connection. The pins easily get stuck causing the cup to not charge. One was already replaced for me and I just purchased another one. I take good care of my cup and don’t understand why this is happening. I do know that I can’t constantly purchase new charging bases. My smaller mug is older and I’ve never had his problem with it. Please Ember-work on that issue.

Got this for my wife for Valentine's Day and she loves it. She likes to take her time sipping her coffee and this mug is perfect for her.

Expensive mug that’s for sure but I was so tired of microwaving cold coffee. YUK. This will get the coffee back up to par. The best part is it doesn’t taste bad. The colored lights and interface are quirky. This solves a 1st world problem for sure. I like it and use it almost every day.

Doesn’t hold charge and temp adequately. Disappointing for the price point!

I'm a coffee snob and this has legitimately been a game changer. I've been using it three weeks now and love it! If you drink GOOD coffee and want to maximize the time it rests in that perfect temperature zone so you can take your time and enjoy it, do not hesitate. Yes, it's a luxury, but only until you use it for a week; then it will become an essential part of your kit!

When you work hard you want a mug that does to Nothing better than a consistent sip of coffee

Mug dosent charge up 100%. Will charger for over 2 hours and app indicates that its at 89 or 89% at times

It isn’t working like I had hoped or expected. I set the temperature to my desired drinking preference of 135 and the cup struggles to accurately tell me the temperature. For example, I will pour coffee that has been brewed hours ago and is barley lukewarm into my ember and it will tell me it as reached my desired level of 135, huzzah! Um no, try again. I then raise the temperature to 145 and within seconds it will tell me it has achieved my desired temperature. I then, pour the lukewarm cup into a microwaveable cup, heat it for 90 seconds and Voila, a steaming cup of coffee. The cup will help hold the temperature until it gets a little under half way empty at which point the warmer has made the last remaining sips of my coffee way to hot to drink even after it had been simmering at 135(ish) for the past hour.

I loved this mug BUT it doesn't stay hot long enough and it stopped working after a year and a month.

The cup's inside is now starting to chip. The coating is coming off and is dangerous to drink.

This has changed my mornings in such a positive way; so much so that I bought my husband one. I received mine as a gift from my adult children. This has eliminated carrying around a cold cup of coffee, or heating it in the microwave and forgetting about it until I hear the incessant beepring. I just wish that the battery lasted a little longer, but I understand the restrictions

This is our 5th ember (we still have 4) and our first larger size. My wife loves the extra room in the cup. Great addition to our morning routine.

I love my 14oz Ember mug but over time battery life has deminished. It will go dead in about 30 minutes off the charging pad.

My son bought the 14oz mug in white for me almost a year ago and no complaints!! I absolutely LOVE it. No more sticking my coffee back into the microwave to warm it up over and over again. I am a coffee sipper, not a "gulper" and I so appreciate that my beverage stays at my desired temperature for hours. It was a beautiful and so appreciated gift! I love how observant he was of my morning routine and gifted something that has truly enhanced my life!

It was a gift for my husband. He is enjoying it! He would always have to microwave before he got his mug!

Works wonderfully. Family member on dialysis and with amputation doesn't have to try and get up constantly to warm coffee. Lifesaver!
