A: no lids. I put a silicone lid on mine if my coffee sits for awhile. this extends the length of the charge.

A: Ember now has lids for both the 10oz and 14oz ceramic mugs! The great thing about the lid is it not only helps prevent spills, it doubles the life of the battery!

For best care and maintenance, we would recommend rinsing your mug with water soon after finishing your beverage to avoid letting it sit on the paint for too long. For best results, we also recommend hand-washing the Ember with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge.

A: I have two white mugs. both are stained and I do take care of them. I will not buy the white again. other than that, I love the ember mugs.

A: Mine stained in about a month. And I rinse mine every day I use it and probably a handwashing once a week.

A: The 14oz Ember Mug has heaters at the bottom of your Mug. The walls of the Mug are made of ceramic-coated solid stainless steel so that you can feel the comfortable warmth of the Mug and its contents as you drink.

A: While the Ember Mug may fit in some vehicles' cup holders, it is designed of home or office use and don't recommend using it in your car as the Mug doesn't include a leak-proof lid and may spill. Instead, we recommend our Ember Travel Mug, which is designed to fit in most cup holders, includes a leak-proof lid, and even has an optional (purchased separately) car charger designed to fit in your cup holder and keep your Travel Mug at your perfect temperature for even longer.

A: The recommendation is to use hot water, not boiling as the boiling water could overheat the battery.

A: The Ember Mug App does require an account to adjust the set temperature, however the Ember mug will heat to the default set temperature of 135F without the app. Android does require location services to be turned on for bluetooth. We also have an option to opt out of sharing data with Ember.
