@myovercrowdedshelf Good Morning and Happy Book Review! “In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I also love him. I think it's impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves." - Ender Wiggin Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I hadn’t read this book since high school and remember it being one of my favorites. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. There was much more character dynamic than what I previously remembered and understood. This book is not only a good stand alone book, but also does a great job setting up the universe that they live in and setting the scene for the upcoming books as well. The social commentary of the behavior of children put in this situation and the resulting outcome leads to an interesting narrative of its time. This is definitely one book series that I plan on seeing through to the end. ✨No Spoilers✨ Set in the future, Earth is faced with a war with an alien race. Ender Wiggin is one of many children who are recruited from a young age and sent to Battle School to prepare for war with the buggers(the aliens) He faces many challenges and has to rise to the occasion to meet the expectations set upon him by his commanders, and ultimately the whole world. • • • #books #bookstagram #bookreview #endersgame #enderssaga #orsonscottcard #scifibooks #octoberreads #coffee #cozy #bookoftheday #reading
