FAO Schwarz Smarter Phone Pretend Play - 18 Months

Likes: * This is a much more age appropriate phone than another one I bought for my baby. (I know... I bought it for a baby under 18 months, so that's on me.) This play phone is cause and effect, so it's teaching what my baby can understand: Push a button, and the phone makes a sound and/or lights up. A baby under 18 months can operate this and be okay! * Both the baby and older kid enjoy it, because it's actually about the shape and size of a "real" phone. The flashlight and "camera" (not a real camera, which I personally appreciate) also makes the play phone feel more real for the kids. * The volume buttons are amazing! The older kid enjoys pushing them and having more than 2 volume options. I enjoy that I can get the toy quieter than a lot of other toy phones out there without resorting to tape over the speaker like I've done in the past. Room for improvement: * I actually cut the rope loop off. I know it was meant to hang around a wrist, look like a phone charm, and/or have something clip to it, but it just wasn't working for us. The phone still works great, but we didn't personally need/want that. * The light around the phone "screen" and flashlight are bright white LEDs. While this is more realistic, this is not really a phone toy to pull out near nap or bed time. If there were an option for a warm/less bright white light I think that would be nice. (Maybe the fake camera lens could be that?) * If the songs wouldn't completely start their loop fresh every time, I think the phone would be even better! Maybe we'll get to pushing the music button 3+ times in a row and hear more than 1-2 songs, but we're not there yet.

Toy is fun when it doesn’t fall asleep. Once it falls asleep an adult needs to turn the switch off and back on again to be able to play with it. It doesn’t wake up by pressing the buttons on the phone. My toddler looses interest once it stops playing sounds.

My 15 month old enjoys this toy and keeps her entertainedin car rides. It teaches numbers, colors and animal names but i wish that instead of the names that it would make animal noises.

My grandson absolutely loved this! He especially enjoyed the light up features. It looks like an I phone. Great price too!

It just came in the mail today, I opened it, it does not work at all! Totally bummed!

Baby Granddaughter loves it!

This product does not last - I've only had for 3 weeks and the volume no longer works and now when it is on it contstantly rings. Don't waste your money. It's so cute and I was in high hopes and my son LOVES it so I'm sad it doesn't work.

I needed a phone toy to get my daughter to stop playing with mine hahaha. She absolutely loves this. It's really good quality too. It goes to sleep after a while to save the battery! Lots of songs and fun things for her to do

I love that this resembles a real phone! My baby loves to grab mine, but he reaches for this one now! It’s really cutely designed too. There is a flashlight feature on it that works.

This is another Christmas gift for my granddaughter she loves phones and keys. This is just a start phone for her to learn with.

Cute toy and idea. I didn't like it because I was struggling opening the screws to place the battery and also once it's on sounds are so low volume you can barely hear it.

Got this for my two year old and he is obsessed! Walks around the house with it and any time it’s not around, he asks “where’s phone?” If I didn’t know any better, I would think he was mocking me. Or is he? Anyway, I’m glad he finds so much joy in it!

I didn’t like how the sound was very low. Even if you turned it up, you really couldn’t hear it. Unless you brought it up to your ear.

My little man loved it it takes tripple A batteries not included

Not made for small children or a lot of dropping. Breaks easily.

Not only did this phone not include the batteries but once we went back out to get them the phone still didn’t work.
