  • A: Thanks for your great question, Lee. Waxing can definitely be uncomfortable because you are removing the hair follicle at the root, however, it should not be very painful. Different areas of the body, like your underarms or pubic area, can also be more sensitive because the skin is more delicate. If you're just getting started we always recommend doing a patch test on your arm or legs to get a sense of how removing the strip feels - pulling quickly and close to the skin is key. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly beforehand to get you set up for waxing success!

    This wax kit is great, not enough post wax cloths

    This wax kit works great. One strip separates into two strips. The wax adheres effectively and removes hair well so one strip set is enough to remove upper lip or Underarms or atleast one leg. Compared to other brands, often times, 2 sets of strips is needed. A major negative is that there aren’t enough post wax cloths (only two came in my kit) to remove wax residue that is left on your skin. This Flamingo brand wax is really difficult to remove using other products. So you do waste your money if you don’t have a lot of hair to remove to use this whole kit in two uses. This almost deserves a 1 star reduction but overall, the strip works well and hey, maybe others have more hair to remove than I.

    Dont buy waste of money

    These are the absolute worst. I have been waxing my under arms for years now and usually use waxing beads. Came across this as i forgot to order more beads and it literally does not take hair off. I don’t have much from waxing for a while and it also is not coarse but these did nothing for me

    These are great! Make sure you follow the directions and you'll be hair free.

    I have probably purchased 12 of these kits over the last 2 years. This is the best I’ve ever used. Perfect on armpits and bikini line. I am very very sensitive and have never had any issues. I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews. You have to make sure that you are holding the skin taught and ripping the opposite direction of the hair growth or it just won’t work. I use this in conjunction with my wax pass at European Wax center and even the person waxing said that my hair isn’t broken and it is being pulled directly from the root when I go back for my full Brazilian.

    Horrible, do not get this! I used it on my underarms.. took multiple strips to remove hair and gave me a chemical burn! It hurt to apply deodorant the next day and they were very sensitive. Also left me dark spots, would not recommend or at least not for your underarms.

    Destructive on face, just okay everywhere else

    I tried this product because while I've successfully used similar Nair and Nads products, they all have sickly, disgusting scents. I tested some small areas on my arms, which have fine hair, and the strips didn't have great grabbing power but looked unirritated after 48 hours. I then cut down a small strip and used it on my upper lip. It tore a layer of skin clean away while leaving all of the hair there, so I had a half-moustache of hair & scabs for two weeks. I noticed when I went back to the box that even though it says "whole body" this apparently excludes "sensitive skin," which I had thought was a disclaimer about using it in the bikini area but apparently includes my face. (I noticed that the website description includes that it's intended for arms and legs only, but the box absolutely does not.) These might be okay if your skin is not sensitive at all and you have very fine hair. Don't use this product anywhere near your face, and I certainly wouldn't use it anywhere more sensitive than that.
