Q: Could you please at least explain why you have lactose included in this product? I cannot understand why this would be included in a probiotic.

Q: This product contains lactose. How do you take it if you are lactose intolerant? The package states appropriate for lactose intolerance. Please explain how this is possible. I do want to try it but not if it makes me sick.

A: Hi! Florastor can be taken with or without food with no change to its effectiveness. Therefore, the time of day is based on your personal preference. Approximately 30 minutes after ingestion, the Florastor capsule dissolves in the stomach, allowing the yeast cells to help keep your intestinal tract on track. After a recent hospitalization during which I was given large doses of antibiotics and steroids, my digestive system was absolutely wrecked and I was running to the bathroom non-stop for days. I had been trying some different GNC brand probiotics initially that I had luck with in the past, but this time they were not helping really at all and I was getting stressed, and that’s when I stumbled upon Florastor. And OMG – game-changer. I’ve been talking one capsule every 12 hours for just two days now and things are really starting to calm down. Hopefully in another day or so I will be even more back to normal. So happy I tried these and will always keep them handy especially for after antibiotic use.

I recently had to take some Macrobid for a UTI. Haven’t taken antibiotics in years and it was really hurting my stomach and making me feel nauseous. The florastor immediately gave me relief and has made it much more bearable to finish out my antibiotics course without needing to switch to another. Very thankful for this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Florastor kinda expensive but I noticed the difference right away. Just one pill probiotic everyday made me feel less bloated and less gassy. Especially with certain foods, greasy and fatty taking this pill will help reduce the heavy feeling.

This stuff is incredible! I was taking amoxicillin and it makes me so sick, I’ve even gotten cdiff from antibiotics use before so it was incredibly important for me to find a probiotic that would prevent that. This worked so well, I will continue to take even when I’m not on antibiotics. The strain used is more effective than any basic probiotic I’ve used in the past.
A little pricey, but dont sleep on these!

My doctor recommended these to me so I’ve taken 2/day for about a year now and it makes a world of difference. I was SO nauseous after every meal, and now I’m only nauseous about once a month, which is usually due to my own poor food choices. No other probiotics that I’ve tried even come close. My only dislike is that sometimes they taste pretty bad & they’re a little pricey. Otherwise it’s a 10/10 from me :)

Highly recommended, may be expensive but it works! Had to take antibiotics for 6 months after an infection. This prevented me from any stomach problems which are common from taking antibiotics for a long time. Also helped regulate my stomach after an unknown ailment.
