Q: The directions on the bottle just say to use 3/4 cup per load. How much do you use for an HE/high-efficiency washer?

  • A: I have a HE washer, and if I use the amount you recommend, my items still have soap in them after a wash - I need to re-wash them a second or even third time to get the soap all out. So personally I would use much much less than 3/4 cup per load - even a quarter cup sometimes leaves soap on my items. One reason for that is the HE washer may use very little water…
