Do not be swayed by all the incentivized reviews. I have had two Frigidaire ice makers, the model above this however neither lasted more than 2 years. I wanted to try another ice maker that wasn’t insanely priced and assumed this was an improved model from the similar but larger one I had previously. The ice maker melts the ice as soon as it’s made. The catch basin is small so it gets full before a batch of ice is made. This was not my experience with either similar model before- larger catch basin and the water was reused plus the ice didn’t melt fast. Calling this an ice maker is a lose term. In addition there’s no way to physically clean this unit. My last one was able to be cleaned much easier outside of just hitting a button. Ice makers are notorious for mold growth. They need to be hand cleaned. There’s also no way to dump the melted water out without picking up the large machine. Faulty faulty fault design. $30 ice makers are better at their job and better designed than this. DO NOT PURCHASE unless you want to waste your money.

Very easy to set up. I would highly recommend running a full cycle through before consuming the ice. Makes ice within 20 mins of turning it on. The only con is that you have to store the ice somewhere else if you are not able to consume 44lbs of ice in a day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The nugget ice make machine is compact and can fit right on the counter. It’s simple to set up. When I turned it on for the first time, the nugget came out slushy but as it ran for awhile the nuggets began to be more solid. It took about two hours to turn the entire water drawer into nuggets. Note that this ice make is not a mini freezer or storage bucket. You have to move the ice to a freezer unless it is being used right away. If you are looking for an ice maker that makes and stores ice, this is not the machine for you. If you are looking for an ice maker to make ice for a party, immediate use, or to store in the freezer, this ice maker will work.

Simple and produces ice fairly fast

If you’re a fan of nugget ice like from sonic then I recommend this one 😊 However one downside would be the size, I don’t think it would work for a family of 5 or more. Just based on the size and the lbs of ice it creates. Overall I give it a 7/10 it’s great for ice coffees and drinks!

First off, I love the black aesthetic, it fits in with all my other black appliances and looks sleek and modern. The machine is heavy and feels really durable and of great quality, not some cheap plastic thing that you would expect for the economical price.The size isn’t too overwhelming and it actually holds a ton of ice. It only runs when making the ice so it’s very energy efficient for us watching our summer electricity bill. With summer in full swing this ice maker is an absolute essential for me, from filling the kids water bottles to making my evening summer cocktails, there is nothing better than this crunchy and delicious ice!

It’s quick effective and produces a great amount of ice it looks sleek on my countertop and feels well made and high-quality well I wish it was a little smaller I understand that size helps it produce so much ice which I really appreciate the ice tastes, clean and fresh and doesn’t affect the taste of my drink like some freezer ice can. Overall, I am very happy with this product and recommend.

I fix appliances for a living. If you buy one do not wait to start using it!!! You need to use it a bunch in the first week to see if you got the luck of the draw. I’m standing at target in the aisle and half the mini fridges and ice makers are on their side or upside down when the boxes is clearly labeled “this side up”. Everyone knows you cant lay a fridge on its side because the oil in the compressor leaks out and into other parts of the sealed system where it doesn’t be long. Because these items are treated so poorly during shipment you just gotta get lucky that you buy one that wasn’t stored on its side or upside down. I meet the UPS truck every day to receive parts. Not one time have I seen a mini fridge being shipped that wasn’t upside down or on its side. It’s on my bucket list to witness a mini fridge being shipped by UPS right side up. If you wait to open the box and use the product you won’t know if it’s broken day one and it might be too late to return it.

it stopped making ice after a week or two. went through and followed all the directions and troubleshooting. cleaned it power cycles and still nothing. I was excited for this.
