Purchased this ice maker on 1/31/26 for $200. On 5/9/26 it made a loud noise and stopped working. Target says it's beyond 30 days return window, plus it's marketplace so you are on your own. Wow. You have got to be kidding me. They give me an email to the manufacturer, when you click it, it just asks for your name and email. Reading the reviews and I see a few similar experiences. BEWARE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

The comes out very wet so as soon as you put it in the freezer which is what the instructions tell you to do, it turns into a block of ice. I definitely do not recommend. I wish I could return it.

Remove the ice and let it melt for about 2 hours. 2. Mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 5 parts water. 3. Pour the solution directly into the ice maker through the top cover. 4. Activate the cleaning mode. 5. After the cleaning cycle, leave the solution inside to soak for 2-3 hours. 6. Use a small brush or a cotton swab to gently clean the hole in the upper water tank. This can help remove any debris or buildup that might be affecting the machine’s performance. 7. Run the cleaning mode again. 8. Empty the machine and refill with fresh water. Since this ice maker uses gravity to channel water to the ice-making area, limescale can easily accumulate. We recommend emptying the machine of water after each use to prevent excessive buildup. Limescale can reduce water intake, resulting in harder ice and cutting noise during operation. I have had this since the end of November 2025 and it is already broken. There no way for me to get a refund or have it fixed I am out the $175 and now I have to purchase another one. I have cleaned this like the book suggested and it still doesn’t work. Horrible product.

I’m going to be generous and give this 3 stars. Nice ice… but the machine dies not store ice! There is no insulator! You have to remove the ice as soon as it’s make. Would not buy again!

I bought this ice maker hoping it would let me enjoy having nugget ice more often. The design is sleek and it fits nicely under a higher countertop, which I really liked. However, the ice production was slow, and because it doesn’t have an internal cooling system, the ice melts quickly if you don’t use it right away. That was a big downside for me. It also didn't provide that much ice. In my opinion, this would be a decent product if it were priced around $75. Unfortunately, I paid about $200 for it, and it just doesn’t feel worth that price. To make matters worse, I didn’t save the box, so I can’t return it. Now I’m stuck with a $200 purchase that didn’t meet my expectations.

Great ice!
This makes the best ice! It does take a long time to make ice so it is not good for a lot of people. I make a couple of gallon bags full and use it throughout the week. It is loud and I don’t like that but I have an open kitchen so I hear it in the living area. It will make screeching sounds occasionally and that makes me think it is going to quit working but it keeps going. The ice does melt in the unit because it is not made to store the ice, only make it. I would recommend this to anyone who loves soft ice as long as you don’t need to make for large families.
