A: The white powder on the bottom o the interior could be residual manufacturing dust from food-safe talc or desiccant powder used during production and packaging. Please clean your unit following the instructions on the user manual. Clean the interior of the appliance with a mixture of warm water and baking soda, use about 1-2 tablespoons per quart of water.

A: 1. Unplug the power cord and take out the ice basket. 2. Remove the drain plug from the front underside to drain out the water into the sink. 3. Clean the interior of the appliance with a mixture of warm water and baking soda, use about 1-2 tablespoons per quart of water. 4. Use a sponge or soft cloth and make sure to wipe excess moisture out before cleaning around the controls. 5. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a clean soft cloth. 6. The filter at the bottom of the water reservoir is removable in order to clean when needed. Remove the filter, rinse with water and replace the filter into the reservoir. 7. Put back the drain plug.

It worked great and then it didnt.
When my wife bought it from target a few months ago when she opened it there was a craxk and the aluminum part seemed bent, but tried it anyways as it was jist the cosmetic part, all we cared about was ice ! It worked great and it made ice just like expected. About a month ago it just says Add water and is stuck on that, not sure if the water pump motor died but its very dissapointing as we were only able to use it for about a month. We were thinking of just purchasing another but now we just gave up :(

I’m actually going to return bc it seems like it had a little damage when we got it. It runs so loud all the time like it’s working so hard and it makes the room really hot. It has exhaust from both sides. I have it away from everything but it doesn’t matter. The ice seems weird also compared to our old one sometimes it looks dirty and it’s brand new but one of the worst parts is it doesn’t have any kind of refrigeration so if you don’t get your ice right away, it melts and then remake it so it’s always working and then the second batch of ice doesn’t look so great

Super convenient and easy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just what we needed for our dinner parties! We use filtered water, but tap water works too. Once the ice maker starts producing ice, we put it in large zip lock bags to store in the freezer in case there's a need for a lot of ice at once. The ice cubes are smaller than I expected on the "large" setting. The ice maker will be frequently used in summer. No more trips to the store for more ice. It's super convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was incredibly excited to be able to participate in this program! We currently do not have a water line hooked up for our ice maker in our fridge so having this is great! The ice cubes are pretty small though but I could care less about that. It does take a few hours to completely fill up a container for your freezer. You have to manually dump the ice cubes in this machine once they’ve formed. The machine is moderately noisy. It’s not screaming at you but you can definitely hear it. The only real con I can say about this product is the size of it. It does take up quite a bit of counter space so if you don’t have much space, definitely take this into consideration. Or…you can always store the machine after using it! Which is what I planned to do but was able to rearrange things to make it fit. All in all I would consider this a great product and if you’re in the market for an ice machine, I would recommend this!

Quick ice from a beautiful machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice machine is pretty good! It works quickly to form ice cubes. The options are small and large, but they are approximately the same size. The design is sleek—it looks great on my counter and is easy to put into a cabinet. It’s quieter than a traditional in-fridge ice maker, which is nice. The cubes melt fairly quickly due to their shape, but work great for things like smoothies and milkshakes. I do recommend this product!

It’s a little noisy- think medium to high fan noise. The ice is great and quick. It doesn’t necessarily keep the ice frozen, but the ice will eventually melt back into the chamber and so starts the process over again.

Excellent Ice Maker for Everyday Use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Whirlpool Countertop Stainless Steel Ice Maker for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed. It’s compact, sleek, and fits perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space. The stainless steel finish gives it a modern look, and it blends in well with my kitchen appliances. It’s been perfect for my my single woman lifestyle and the best feature (in my opinion) is how it melts unused ice cubes then refreezes them into cubes- making less work for me. Performance-wise, it’s a game-changer. The ice-making process is quick; I had fresh ice in a flash, turning it on and doing my normal routine and ice is ready for use before I know it! The machine produces perfect size of ice cubes, which is a nice touch for different drinks. The ice cubes don’t melt too quickly, even on warmer days. This icemaker will leave you out in the cold!
About Feb 2024 I bought the first one. Everything was great, ice was made quickly, doesn't take up too much space on the counter. Then, June comes and the little metal "rake" that pushes the ice cubes into the basket area stopped moving, it tried but no. I turned it off and on and went online to see if there was a fix, no solutions availble. I got this at a great price it was too late to return to Target and there warranty meant having to ship and wait so I trashed it and bought another one. Again, I love it when it works I figured I just got a bad one. Its now August 2024 I've had the replacement since June 2023, so two months and again it does the same thing, The rake stops moving and no ice is being made. This time it was within the return window and that's what I did, I returned and they gave me another one. This morning only minutes before writing this review, it stopped working again, and again the same rake that moves the ice to the bin. The only difference with this one, is the rake is trying to move and keeps trying over and over. I turned it off so it could defrost, that hasn't worked, obviously I checked that nothing was obstructing it. Now I go online reading reviews from Target and Amazon and almost the neg comments are from the same problems I'm having, rake gets stuck and or Add water light won't turn off despite there being water and no ice is made. No where have a found Whirlpool addressing this issue on their website but I would like to be wrong, if they do address this or have a recall please direct me to this. Thank you
